Star Wars was always a mixed bag movie-wise, but I'd consider the first one (A New Hope) one of the weakest. Pacing issues, bad writing (the lightsaber "duel" between Obi-Wan and Vader made me physically cringe at how bad the dialogue was) and wooden acting ruined the movie for me. I never liked the movie as a kid and still don't, many years later.

Edit: It didn't help one of the characters in that movie, Han Solo, was one of the most unlikable characters I have ever seen. I don't see him as a "lovable rogue" character, but a character who is the face of toxic masculinity.

Here's a hot take. *takes a deep breath* SONIC FORCES IS FUN! *phew*
I never played the other Sonic Switch games back when I had the Switch, but I actually liked this one. So...I don't care what anyone thinks.
Rest in Peace Lizzy the Purple Bear (my OC in Sonic Forces).

I hate how quiet people like myself are stereotyped as “creepy” or “mass shooters” or “serial killers.” I’m female so those stereotypes don’t affect me as much, but I still hate how the FIRST thing people say about a mass shooter is “Oh, he was always a weird, quiet kid. He was socially awkward, etc.”

Like…yeah, maybe he was, but the fact doesn’t help bullying, it just makes it worse. And usually they’re not just quiet, they have track records of making threats, etc.

As for the ignoring quiet women? That’s kind of a form of benevolent sexism. If you think about it, women are always expected to be quiet, submissive, demure, etc. and men are expected to be loud, macho, dominant, etc. So a quiet man is seen as “creepy” or “abnormal”. A quiet woman is seen as a saint, while a quiet man is seen as a serial killer. It’s one of the few advantages we have over men, that we can be quiet and no one thinks we’re violent criminals.

That being said, I hate the emphasis on quietness or social awkwardness when the media discusses people who have committed violent crimes.

It’s better to believe the truth and refuse to take action than spread or believes lies. Like it’s better to rebel against lockdown orders in a time of a pandemic than to deny the existence of COVID-19 or spread lies about masks and vaccines. Or it’s better to believe that global warming is real, yet refuse to change your way of living than to downplay or outright lie about global warming. Lies, misinformation, and conspiracy theories are very harmful, and believing them is just as bad as telling them. As much as refusing to get on board, knowing the truth, makes you just as ignorant, it’s better than lying.

Some may ask “if you know the truth, then why refuse to follow along?”. The answer, because there are other reasons not to follow along. But if there are no other valid reasons to not follow along, then ignorance by choice is just as bad, if not, worse than believing the lies.

i love sam’s club but the whole membership warehouse store is ridiculous. imagine not being able to shop somewhere just because you didn’t buy the $50 membership upfront, WILD.

Enough about cereal first then milk or milk first then cereal, the true superior option is to have cereal in the bowl with no milk, and a glass of milk on the side. That way you can completely control the milk level and balance out the dryness of the cereal whenever you choose. If you pour the milk in the bowl the cereal gets too soggy too fast, plus then what are you gonna do with the left over milk? Drink it from the bowl? The milk on the side in a glass is clearly the only correct option and I will not hear any different.

Thanksgiving is better than Christmas 🤷‍♂️

Also I feel like Thanksgiving should be everyday, where we can all have dinner as a family, unplug from our devices, and converse. I feel like society as a whole has lost that.

I don't like the gym. It's not because I'm not that athletic, it's because I just don't see the appeal and why it's so hyped up.

The gym is honestly overrated. It's full of people showboating and judging you when you can't lift a certain weight (which, why would you be able to if you just started exercising? Hello?). I'm sure there's some gyms where that doesn't happen out there, but they're few and far between.

I have an exercise room next to my own, thankfully, that has weights, a Peloton bike, a treadmill, and other things, so I just use that whenever I can. If you have somewhere like that in your house you can workout, it's much nicer, especially because you won't have to deal with other people. Even going for a walk or run outside is good if you have a sidewalk in your neighborhood. But yeah, most gyms are....

I don't like Christmas song remakes, they sound off-key sometimes, especially if it's a female singer singing a remake of an older song by a male singer, and they lack the charm that the old, original versions had.

Plus, some of the newer remakes try too hard to be hip and cool by adding awful off-key sound effects in order to pander to the newer generation.

Twitter renaming itself to "X" is, in my opinion, the worst company name change of all time. Could they really not come up with anything better? When I first saw this happen, I had to do a double take as I wasn't sure if I had actually went to Twitter or some NSFW site accidentally.

I know about the trend of Twitter losing its users by the masses due to poor quality control (mostly fake news articles from bogus accounts that people believed at first). While Facebook has been actively checking accounts for potential false information being shared and believed by viewers, Twitter hasn't really done a whole lot other than relying on people who report fraudulent accounts. I mean, Twitter could still change their company name to bring back users and do more to prevent false information from spreading, but renaming itself to "X" just sounds like something a Kindergartener came up with and their teacher told them "Good job, Billy!", giving them a gold star for trying. When TikTok's name was changed from musical.ly, I didn't like it (and still don't as I hate TikTok as a whole), but at least they got creative. "X" doesn't sound creative whatsoever. It sure as heck wouldn't bring me back.

You should know you're not doing this change correctly when you (and basically every company that uses that site) still have to refer to yourselves as Twitter almost constantly, and tweets are still referred to as "tweets". What would you even refer to tweets as now? X's? Yeah, that sounds terrible. I'm putting an X on "X". Awful, awful name.

Here’s the thing with Twitter being called X: the owner of the platform can’t trademark it now. Letters are seriously prohibited from getting a trademark or copyright on them. Hasbro learned of this while they were creating the Jem and the Holograms dolls and cartoon. Originally the idea was to have a character named Monica use Synergy to transform into a pop superstar simply called M. The M stood for Music and also Monica at the same time. But when they tried to file a trademark, they were denied and told that you can’t put a trademark on a letter. And this was during the 80s. Hasbro wanted the central character of the franchise to have names that begin with the same letter as her alter ego and they had to change the name in order to protect their property. X will probably be renamed Twitter again soon enough.
