When were you first introduced to the series?

I first played City Folk in 2007 with my cousins! I didn't play it much until 2013-14ish when I got New Leaf and became obsessed lmao.

For me it was when I first got Animal Crossing for the game cube when it first came out and fell in love with the series ever since. It really makes me feel old when I think about how long ago that was. lol

It would have been back in 2005 for Wild World. I remember first booting it up while I was supposed to be supervising a garage sale my parents were having. I instantly got so engrossed in it that I’m pretty sure a few people walked off without paying and I didn’t even notice lol

Gamecube! And it might be sad that I can remember my favorite character was my neighbor Peewee. Is that guy still around? Now I have to find him!

In 2003 I think? I was getting a GameCube for Christmas and wound up receiving it early because I broke my foot. My friend bought Animal Crossing without even owning a GameCube yet and we were addicted pretty immediately. The GameCube Animal Crossing game specifically was a huge escape for me.

I was first introduced when I watched ZackScottGames’s gameplay walkthrough of New Leaf. I don’t exactly remember when I first watched them, but I think it was 2014 or 2015.

I was introduced the series back when wild world came out. I was still young but everybody who had a DS had it. I ended up getting it used, but was in good condition. Someone even let me use an action replay where I turned all my weeds into bells. of course that made the game stagnant for a little bit when loading.

I remember I was so into that game. I even cried when somebody I really liked wanted to move. However I picked it up again and discovered that my town was still in good condition. I had all the upgrades and furniture. Sometimes I wish I still have friends to play ww around a little bit more with.

For me, I was introduced to the series around 2011-2012. I was looking at the games my card included in my DS and I saw Animal Crossing Wild World. I was like yeah sounds fun. Then I got addicted and bought the whole serie :>

I was just recently introduced to acnl. My adult kids have played it for years. I broke my leg in February...a bad break. My kids thought I might like it. They had a spare 3dsxl and bought the game for me. I've probably been playing since April 2020.

My first game was the GameCube version! I rented it from a local video store (I always rented a different game every Friday) and played all night. Then I realized my memory card didn't have enough space for the game (it was like 30 or 40 something blocks and a memory card had like that number plus two). I was so upset and lost all my progress after that weekend. Eventually I got the game though and it came with a memory card!

This is so sweet. My mom LOVES Animal Crossing but never got her own game as she claims she only likes to fish on my character and make bells. I think she just says this because she doesn't want me to spend money on her and buy 3DS or Switch for her. I've literally asked her if she wants her own game and she says no. Too funny.

Many, many years ago... I can't remember, but I know it was the Gamecube (Population: Growing) edition I first started with! My mom wanted to get me a game that 'was like The Sims but for kids' since I loved games like that but she thought The Sims was too mature for me lmao. After that, I've played every iteration since.

I played NL then went back to play WW I believe. Though for some reason my memories of these games are super faded now. Just remember the villagers that were in my NL town.

Wild world for me too! Crazy to think that I started playing 14 years ago, cos I've never really stopped ^^ i don't even know where to start, or even wanna think about how many hours I have put into the game o.o

Back in 2001 when I was still in high school, I was looking through an IGN magazine and saw something about the game Animal Crossing. There were a few screenshots of the game with information about it. I'm not really sure why, but I wanted to play it. So I rented the game when it finally came out. When I first started, I wasn't really sure what was going on. I was talking to a cat named Rover who thought he'd just sit down and asking me 20 questions. When I reached my destination, Tom Nook approached me and wanted me to pay him back for a house. I went around catching bugs and fish. I never grew tired of the game. I never played or owned Wild World, but I stuck with the GameCube version until City Folk came out. I've been a fan of the series ever since.

I'm so sad I didn't know a think about AC until Pocket Camp was released in 2017. I just didn't really play video games as a kid! Some friends were playing and we created this big group chat for PC last year though. I love it because we all have been playing AC games for different amounts of times, some from the beginning, some only recently. I think I'm hooked for life now, haha!

My sister and i played wild world when we were younger and when i got my new ds for my birthday 5 years ago i couldn't wait to play new leaf and now I've gotten my 2 cousins and my sister into new leaf
