Who are your favorite Horse & Eagle villagers - and Why?

My favorite horse villagers is a tie between Ed & Colton (Colton being a little higher).
Ed is from nostalgic memories and Colton is tied because I love his design.

Favorite eagle villager? Easy. QUINN! One of the fabulous new villagers, regardless of gender.
Once again, because of their amazing design.

I don't really have a strong connection towards Horse villagers, but I'll go with Julian bc space and zodiac of course!

My favorite Eagles are Frank and Celia. Frank because he's underrated and the colors POP! While Celia is a 2nd because while in a dream town in New Leaf I saw Celia and was she the cutest Eagle I ever did see. I could have gotten her back then but I was still into Pekoe. (Maybe not now as she's getting kind of stale NGL...)

I slept on horse villagers for too long, but Papi is my permanent lazy and he’s great. Love Annalise too, and Cleo and Victoria!

Not really into the eagles though, sorry!

Horses - I really love Reneigh and Julian. I didn't expect to like Reneigh because she's a sisterly, but I had hoped to like her because I love her design. Julian I didn't expect to like either, I don't know why, becauseI love smugs, but I ended up liking him and I love his house!

Eagles - Apollo and Sterling! I just love them both.

My favorite eagle is Apollo. I know, original. Papi is the only horse villager I’m partial to.

I used to not like the horses much, as their heads are kind of oddly peanut shaped and they are a little tall and oddly proportioned (while I generally prefer short villagers! But they’ve grown on me a lot. Lately I really really like Cleo, she is really cute!
It’s kind of unfortunate that she is a snooty. I wish she was normal or peppy instead. But still would like to have her on one of my islands some day.

I like Reneigh a lot as well.

the eagles are a species I still do not favor much at all. But I find Pierce to be very cute. And Avery has an interesting design.

My favourite horses are Savannah (normal) and Victoria (peppy). Savannah is very sweet, and a staple on my island. She loves to sing. Reneigh visited my campsite a while back, and she was very sweet and I like her design.

For eagles, I really love Celia (normal) and Apollo (cranky). I haven't had either in ACNH though.

I love both Roscoe and Papi!
They’re actually both in the running for being on my Island, especially Roscoe.

Eagles I’m not too fond of design-wise, but Pierce is great and Apollo is pretty good too!

Eagles:
Amelia's been my favourite eagle for a long time, dating back to when she was the only female eagle. When Quinn was revealed, I immediately was drawn to them, and they're my absolute favourite of the brand new 8! (still putting my eggs in the uchi basket!)
For now, Amelia remains on top only because of past experience, but I'm beyond hyped to meet Quinn!

Horses:
Ed is an old favourite from the ACGC days, back when he was a jock. Fun fact: his name in Japanese literally starts with 'smug', similar to Snooty the snooty anteater in English! He's basically the first smug villager (and then the island crankies came along later in 2001), it just took 11 years for the personality to be established.
I will admit it took me a while to get used to Ed's other eye suddenly surfacing after 19 years; I thought he looked like a Muppet at first when I reunited with him in NH
I also have Annalise as my current island villager on my DNM+/ACGC themed NH island and she's really grown on me!

Yay! A fellow Ed & Quinn lover. Literally nobody even speaks of Ed. As if he's a travesty like Amiibo festival
Ed used to be a JOCK?! Ugh, why couldn't they keep him that way! I had to settle on Hamlet as my jock because he's the only one I like enough and blends with my island. There are enough pretty boy smugs.

For eagles, it would have to be Sterling. He's a knight with a dungeon for a house. I think he's the coolest of all eagles. I also like Buzz, Pierce and Apollo. But Sterling rises at the top of my list.

For horses, I'm not a huge fan of them, but I like Roscoe, Colton, and Reneigh.

maybe i can blame it on the fact i was a horse girl as a kid but i LOVE a lot of horse villagers, and it's hard to pick a favorite!! if i had to, it'd be a hard tie between reneigh and julian!

i also really love the eagle villagers but my favorite has to be pierce! i'm a bit of a bird nut and a male merlin is a really cool choice of hawk to design an eagle villager after, methinks

Ed for the horses, and Avery for the eagles! Ed was my Tutorial Smug, and despite being kind of disappointed with him at first i got really, really attached to him and now he’s one of the villagers who’s not allowed to leave like, ever lol. and i found Avery while i was looking for a replacement snooty villager and got kind of obsessed w the concept of Cowboy Bird; when i ran into him again later while specifically looking for a cranky i decided then and there he was Meant to be a fave

I understand the struggle with finding a villager you like of a personality you don't (it seems most have that issue with uchis...and if Quinn's an uchi, well, makes sense they seem to be ranked 8/8 of the new batch )
But yep, I still have Ed in my Gamecube town after around 15-16 years, as a jock! I may have been more surprised at his personality reclass back in NL if I hadn't had a passing knowledge of Japanese, whoops!
He's definitely seen as low-class because the second he wound up with the 'correct' personality, Colton and Julian had stepped into the scene and I think the majority saw poor Ed as bargain-bin Julian

for horse villagers, i like Savannah and Colton. one looks like a zebra and the other prince charming. i also kinda like Epona because of The Legend of Zelda.

for eagle villagers, i'm not really too big on that species. but if i had to choose i'd go with Apollo because og bald eagle look.

Eagles? Apollo, Celia, and Sterling are all great.
As for horses... I dunno. Julian is kinda cute. And even then, only because my niece's obsession with sparkly unicorns has rubbed off on me a tiny bit on account of me making sparkly unicorn trinkets for her all the time. Can't speak for any other horse though. I don't like horses IRL so the ones in AC don't do much for me.
