I have seen people on reddit making maps of the exact layout they want their island to have.

are you planning on planning out your island or just going with the flow and building it as you go along?
I am not really sure what i'm gonna do yet probably a bit of both.

I'm going with a more organic approach to my design. My ideas rarely go to plan, so I'd prefer to let Exisle to tell me where to take it next.

I've planned the land/river layout for my town. While I have plenty of ideas to fill in all the space, most of that will come from inspiration from other towns/seeing what furniture goes best outside.

A bit of both. I've got a little plan but it's not ridged its just kind of some ideas to work towards.

Natural. There?s stuff I want to do, like have a bridge between my house and my husband?s house but other than little things like that I?m pretty flexible.

I want to go with a plan this time around. Every other Animal Crossing game I've played has always been pretty bare bones/natural but I'm kind of tired of that look.

I want to try to make a town that feels like an actual town.

not relevant but do you know if you can get notifications for threads you start? this is my first thread in like 5 years and i don't know how to set up notifications

I'm planning it to look "naturally developed", not like the example of a "planned" island in the Direct but definitely organized thoughtfully.

Oh shoot I don?t know, sorry! I?m on my phone so using the mobile version of TBT which doesn?t have notifications anyways

I’ll have some fully developed areas, but try to preserve a natural feel to the Island.

As far as planning ahead goes, I’m starting to think of a basic layout already, though that’ll be adaptable depending on what inspires me ingame. I really like the idea of working “with the land” to some extent.

Plan it out as I go along. I love the natural feel of an island, but I would like things to be a bit organized, just like in the recent Direct. Having it more organized makes it feel even more homier and that's just what I like. :)

the literal definition of a bit of both i like it haha

Well, my current plan is leaning towards more rustic, but you can consider that natural, I suppose. I just want a forest-y/country-like island. But it'll definitely look 'planned' out.

i?m kind of doing both - i have a general idea of how i want my island to look but i won?t be able to pick exact locations for things until i have my island layout

I want to plan it because that's a feature we've never had in any other game.

I think I'm going to go with the flow at first, and then slowly start planning things out.

No plan - I?m just going to plop things where it feels right in the moment.

I want a more natural theme, so I'm just going to go with the flow of the game. I don't want to plan something without getting my hands on the game, that way I'll get a better feel of what's a realistic expectation for what I can build, and then I'll make plans. I don't want to get my hopes up and then get dissapointed when I can't create something I really wanted.
