With the exception of the Switch Lite, the Switch can be played on a TV or monitor. However, I know a lot of people are used to the handheld feel from AC:NL. Do you plan on playing handheld, TV mode, or a mixture of the two?

Personally, I will be mostly playing in TV mode. I like the feel of the Pro Controller and the high quality look of my monitor. I can see myself playing in handheld mode on the rare occasion.

I plan on getting a switch lite, if anything

Honestly suggest everyone to get a normal Switch. Having both tv and handheld mode available is the best way to play. I just like having a bigger screen to play on.

I'll be playing in TV mode. I only ever use my Switch at home because it's too large to carry around in your pocket, so I don't have many times where I wouldn't be using TV mode. While I'm used to looking at smaller screens, having a larger one is preferable.

I haven't purchased a switch yet and am struggling with how not playing with a top and bottom screen would feel. I'm not a fan of split screens.

I wouldn't play it on a TV, and it seems too bulky to lay flat, though that seems to be the only option for me., as I couldn't play it docked.

Overall in Handheld mode. I always played games in that mode since I don't like it so much playing on TV.

The problem for me mainly is that my husband also plays Animal Crossing, and the Switch we have is his. And with the game being designed that way that you can only play one game per console (if I have understood that right), I will need to purchase my own. However I'm not planning to get another full Switch for this, that'd just be madness. So I'll get the Lite and play in handheld mode. I play a lot on my commute anyway, so it makes sense. I'm also not sure how I'd feel about playing on a big screen, I've grown so used to portable playing with New Leaf!

Handheld most likely. I'd be playing TV mode if I could but I don't really have access to a TV atm. I'm used to playing most games on handheld at my desk so it's not gonna bother me one bit. I'm considering buying a small gaming monitor though.

Most often, I'll play handheld, but it'll be nice to see AC on the television again.

I think a lot of people don't have the cash available for a full Switch + New Horizons game. The Lite will probably have a bundle with New Horizons which may make it an even cheaper purchase.

I will most likely be playing it in handheld mode. I just find it really convenient since I will likely just be staying on the PC most of the day. I could move the TV over to face me if I really wanted, but there just really is not a reason as of now.

I will be playing both, probably a tad more in handheld, as it's what I'm used to.

Most likely handheld mode as that's what I'm more used to doing but I definitely want to try it on the tv!

Of course I will play on the TV mode probably more often than handheld. How else am I supposed to give others the full Animal Crossing experience.

I?ll be playing it mostly in handheld mode, my tv sits in a way that I can?t really get comfortable while looking at it.

Handheld! I might play it on the tv on the rare occasion but that's it. I've always been more of a handheld gamer. Which would explain why I played Wild World more than City Folk even though there was more to do in City Folk.

I'm also a weirdo that often lays down while gaming. It really doesn't work all that well on a tv. I have trouble getting comfortable otherwise.

Handheld mode all the way. I tried playing a game on TV mode, but it hurts my back too much because I just can't find a comfortable position on my bed and the TV in my room is the only one I have access to at the moment. The chair downstairs though is very comfortable and it's what I'm used to or either that, the couch will work as well. I've also always liked handheld mode more because then I can plug in my headphones to listen to the music.

I've got everything but the kitchen sink hooked up to my TV, besides, I'd buy a Playstation if I wanted TV games.

TV. I’ve been waiting so long for a new home console Animal Crossing game.
