I like the idea of the second clue having something to do with pathing. Maybe we need to check out threads that discuss 'The Path' or alternatives.
Also, just dropping this poem here by Robert Frost that mentions the road less travelled. It was the first thing I thought of.

After going along The Path train in the ACNH subforum, I have found: nothing.
So I'm here just to post this.

honestly that's a thought I had last night too, so ill peak around in those threads too!
I spent about an hour last night digging through path threads and couldn't find it, but that doesn't mean it's not there. There are a lot of path threads!

Yeah, I similarly found nothing this morning. I also searched through the Favorite season thread since winter came in last, and the robert frost poem is very winter themed. I found nothing there too. :u this is more difficult than the egg hunt lol.
I also wanted to say that I searched threads discussing Loki and TV series since that was mentioned, but I didn't find anything there either.
At best, I'm average at the egg hunt clues and these are really hard!

HELLO MY THOUGHTS, i will always work under the presumption that these clues will lead back to tbt in some way, if it doesn't then disregard everything i say but in egg hunts no matter what the connection it has stemmed from tbt or animal crossing
clue 1:
i think we can safely assume the absolute truths which are
a woman's best friend - diamond
a man's best friend - dog
enemy of a man's best friend - cat
these are truths to me as i dont think itd be fair to use any other meaning behind these - these are well known phrases and they cant be swapped out in my opinion , i think at this point in time we should just acknowledge them as these words until we cant anymore
diamond dog as a literal meaning - a diamond dog (lol) --------- unlikely
diamond dog as a non literal meaning - a david bowie song ----------- most likely scenario from the others
diamond dog as a non literal meaning - metal gear solid link ---------- less likely due to the lack of metal gear connections on tbt
david bowie connected to tbt - user called bowie, music threads, what are you listening to ------ likely but have exhausted all threads

It’s given me an idea though because I think diamond dog is correct because I just remembered that Raymond is said to be modeled after David Bowie and has been a very controversial character on the forum and he’s a cat so I think the first one has to do with a Raymond thread. He’s also a character that sells or used to sell for a lot of currency. Enemy of a dog is a cat so Raymond.
I was thinking about the connection of Raymond = David Bowie.
I was also thinking the artist of a girls best friend is a diamond and Rihanna sings a song called diamond and Rihanna is the inspiration for Reneigh the horse. Reneigh can't be sold as an amiibo.

I remember from the Halloweaster event one of the hidden eggs was from starting a thread in the new neighbor thread, but not posting it. I don’t remember how the egg was found that way, but that can be tried with both Raymond and Reniegh. Just can’t remember how it was done like go to sell a specific villager?

you just need to go to the new neighbor thread and then do post thread and it should bring everything up and you can pick the villager - i hate when clues want you to do that because i'm scared of accidentally posting something that's not legit but it might be worth a try
I tried with both villagers and couldn’t find anything I’m going to try searching for Raymond type threads involving how much he was sold for and maybe Raymond threads in general. Or maybe it’s in one of his auction threads in the new neighbor thread
So I went through all the Raymond threads in the New Neighbor Network. I didn't find any birds but the oldest thread was created by a user named Mercedes. Mercedes is also the name of a luxury car company. That could be the first part of the clue. Then, I don't know how the gryphon part works into it.

So this is probably completely unrelated, but in googling Mercedes and Gryphon, I came across a book series by Mercedes Lackey with books titled The Black Gryphon, The White Gryphon, and The Silver Gryphon. Mercedes Lackey also has another book titled Reserved for the Cat. I searched the forum for the author's name and only found 3 posts and no birds, though.
So probably nothing, but I'm mentioning everything I think of because maybe it will help someone else figure it out.
