Digital or physical edition?

Just pre-downloaded my digital copy! I'm in the PST timezone so I'm hoping we can play early. I like to have animal crossing games digitally anyway because I always come back to then again and again and don't want to have to switch out cartridges.

I'm definitely getting physical. I've already preordered.

I prefer physical because for some reason it just feels safer to have if my Switch was to break or something.

Physical, as usual. I prefer having a physical copy of games, since I like collecting the box they come in and also losing all of the games at once is less likely for me.

You do know all of the save data is still on the Switch, not the cartridge, right?

i thought i was gonna get digital but i preordered the physical copy instead:p

I?m so scared that my digital download will get corrupt... it happened to my second new leaf town... but I?m also so excited to play right away... sooo.. I preloaded the digital version today!

i always go physical for the switch, but i'm going digital for this. i want to always have AC with me, and with knowing how often i'll play this, it makes it nice not having to swap cartridges whenever i want to play.

It will unlock at 9pm PST.

All save data is on the switch, even for physical games.

I don't normally get digital on consoles if a physical is also available.
But I'll be getting both digital and physical.

Ok so... I thought people said you can have a digital on two or more Switches? I made a file on my sister?s Switch today, redownloaded Pokemon, and it wouldn?t let her play it... Am I missing something? I need to know this before AC comes out and I need to pay for two more copies (wife and daughter).

She has to play it on yours. Only the account that purchased it can play it on a different switch.

I researched this extensively, and concluded that one digital copy won't work on both systems at the same time. You'll have to load your main Nintendo account on both systems, make one primary and the other secondary, and will only be able to play the game on one system at a time, and your secondary system has to be connected to the internet to confirm you own the title.

Your best/safest bet is to have one copy per Switch. I am getting the digital copy for my Special Edition Switch (it's the only game I'll play with that system) and a physical copy for the Switch my kids will use.

I Already preordered my physical copy (and the guide). If I end up having to switch cartridges back forth it'll be my exercice for the day. I'm too lazy as it is, anyway. :p

I bought my copy physical. I had a 50 dollar gift card to Amazon burning a hole in my pocket since Christmas so I figured that would be a good way to use it.

Although I'll admit, I'm not too big on digital downloads for my Switch. I guess I'm just old enough so that kind of thing feels a bit alien to me. I do have a few downloads on it. RE5 and 6 that came as download only with my copy of the RE triple pack. And that Ghostbusters game that I never really got into.

Everything else is physical. I have to admit though, I kind of wish I had done it digital so I could be sure to have it asap and then it would always have been with me and I wouldn't have had to switch out cartridges so often.

Ah well. It's a done deal now.

Amazon

Does Anyone have any experience with pre-ordering through Amazon? I am curious as to whether they ship on the 20th or they would ship it earlier? With the 20th being a Friday, if it isn?t delivered on that day, it would be a wait over the weekend. I would prefer to have a physical copy, but my anxiety is pushing me to purchase a digital copy lol.
