This is the first time I've used GIMP to draw, and I'd like some critiques, especially of the constructive kind. Thanks!



PS This isn't trying to look anime, just my own style. Keep that in mind, please.

Great work for your first time! Really~ I don't have much constructive criticism to give since I believe practice makes perfect. Just keep at it and you'll get better and better! ♥

you should pay more attention to body proportions, the left arm is longer than the right one. I'm not a big fan of the background because it looks like flesh to me but that's just personal taste. wish you uploaded a larger image, or is that the original size?

The left arm is supposed to be coming towards the camera view, so that's why it is smaller, but yes, I can agree it looks a bit clunky.
