Jarring Oddities

This jar seems to be upside down with some sort of black spikey things inside? They all seem to be floating, maybe they’re upside down cause they managed to open the jar in the past and can’t swim down?

A new kind of ghostly preserve is on the horizon… It sort of resembles a Shy Guy. A red one went missing after an accident on Rainbow Road. This must be him!

wait are we allowed to submit multiple different jars? i'm kinda confused on how our entries are gonna be judged now 🥴

We had a discussion about it before accepting the entry. We never did specifically state it had to be only one jar, and the argument that eventually made us decide to accept it was "it's not too different from, say, submitting more than three appetizers in the kitchen event."

Entries will be judged on quality and creativity, not quantity. ;)

A Sample Of The Pestilence In A Vial Of A Mysterious Liquid Alongside A Brain of an Unknown Creature. In The Background A Mask Of The Doctor Who Sampled It And Performed The 'Necessary Experiments' Using Such Brains. The Workspace Is Covered In A Protective Layer And A Single Spider Can Be Seen Crawling Out From Behind The Jar

For events that require physical items to be submitted, we'll need to see a physical name tag because of the possibility to digitally write your name on any photo you find online. Can you take a picture that includes one for verification, and resubmit? (If you've emptied the jar by now, reach out to us, we can work something out)

What I reached for appeared alien & indeed strange... however I turn it though, those eye-like creatures seem to be following me...

I resubmitted this without the backgrounds & decorations. Hope this is OK now... 😕
(this is my very 1st event, so I'm doing my best...)

This is unfortunately still a collage. What I meant with "the same process" was asking you to use the same program to rescale the images, sorry. An alternative is to upload your images to another site like https://imgbb.com/, which does allow you to upload larger images.

Feel free to reach out in private if you need more help with that!

Up high, on the highest shelf of the bell tree mayor's laboratory, was this strange creation. Legend has it that this was made from the same essence of a bloodshot potion, however it went horribly wrong. The experiment slowly got disoriented.. until it was reformed as a monstrosity, the bloodshot experiment potion version 2.0!

Hi! It's fine to show things that are "escaping", but your name tag is covering up the contents of your jar making it look simply empty. Can you try again?

zipper t i'm scared.jpg

Pushed into the back corner of the lab, as if the room itself wanted to ignore it, I found a jar containing what looks like, the head and feet of Zipper t Bunny???
For reference, he DID have eyes when I put him in the jar- I may have overestimated the size of the jar lid so when I put the head in, the ears got pushed up and his eyes popped out ;-;
jar lid, please contain him.jpg

Geez Louise this turned out harder than I imagined. Our very own Strange doll has turned out as a specimen in our laboratory. He has tried to get out of his confines so many times now that I had to use a freezing spell to get him to stay put long enough to get a picture of him. He’s very quick to get over spells… I had to threaten him with pulling all of his teeth to add to the teeth collection if he tried to get out while I took this picture.

In a small mason jar hidden in the darkness of a forgotten shelf
I came across a specimen labelled "Petrified Baby Dragon Head and Heart".
Could this jar really hold the proof that dragons exist?!
I quickly snapped a picture and ran before I discovered anything else that might change our world forever.

This is a closer view of the jar & its contents.

Next is a top down view before I screwed the lid on.

Here's my Dragonstone carved Dragon Head & my Red Jasper Heart before I added them to the jar.
After adding them I poured in the green dyed water and sealed the jar for the pics.

Well, I feel like I did the best I could given what I had to work with:

Behold! Some eyeballs in a jar! I used apple juice mixed with water for the liquid (that way I didn't have to use too much apple juice), then crumpled up some scrap paper into eyeballs and drew eyes on them.

Behold! The Girl with Too Much Blood

Pretty sure the figurine I used is a girl from Corpse Party (horror game of some sort), who floated straight to the bottom (along with her detachable arms). She was disembodied and there was so much blood, scientists decided to keep her (and the blood) inside a jar for experimenting and just for display! Hopefully this counts.

The other figure in there is Black Panther (the girl’s bloody-buddy, partners in crime, y’know?!) but you can barely see him. I tried diluting the water more to make it clearer but it still looked so red no matter what I did. Hopefully this is acceptable.
