Hi! We don't feel this entry meets the events requirements, and it feels as if it were designed for a cooking event rather than a craft event, so I'm afraid we will not be accepting it. I'd suggest taking a look at what other members have done with their entries to get an idea of the sort of creativity we are looking for in this event.

Finally! I have finally added the spooky sea monster to my collection, after years of trying! There I was, on the beach, waiting with little hope for the monster to show.

Then someone came by with a metal detector, sweeping the beach for coins. He was the perfect bait... Suddenly, the spooky sea monster appeared! When the sea monster chomped, I was able to spring my trap, and the monster was caught!

Regretfully, I was unable to pry the beachcomber from the jaws of the sea monster.

Inside this jar is a little green monster. Underneath the jar, the label reads:

“Envy: an incurable disease. Please keep this jar CLOSED.”

The jar labelled Specimen #13 appears to contain a preserved bat that must have underwent a number of strange experimentations; cord bindings wrap parts of its body, while elsewhere the poor thing has received mechanical modifications of an unknown function. Whatever it went through, at least it's out of its misery now—wait, did it just... squeak?

Items used: rubber squeaky bat, hair ties and clips, button, plastic cogs.​

What I reached for appeared alien & indeed strange... however I turn it though, those eye-like creatures seem to be following me...

Wow, some of these other jars are pretty creepy. I'm not really comfortable with gory body part stuff (even if it's pretend), I hope this is acceptable. ^o^;>

And we found what appears to be a preserved head of Coco's cousin. The color of the preserved creature fades with age.

I stored what I believe to be the child of the legendary Kraken. It's housed with a small stash of treasure from the hoard it was guarding when I found it. Perhaps it inherited the hoard from its father who probably got it from all the ships that were destroyed. I heard cephalopods are particularly intelligent and can open jars so I would keep a close eye on this one... Do you dare open the lid to take a coin?


Materials: Jar , clay, green/blue food coloring, biodegradable glitter, actual coins.

Inspired by the horrific tales of the Kraken as well as my dog (nicknamed "The Kraken")

**Leg count is intentionally wrong. I didn't want to make the creature look too crammed in the jar.

I tried my hand on a non-spooky pumpkin potion, I think it's cute!! I made the pumpkin with polymer clay, and used raspberries (I dont own artificial colours, makes my brain funky lol) to dye the water slightly red because autumn

the lid and jar were found separately,, I didn't own any other empty jar

Eyeballs in a jar, they keep watch on anyone who enters the laboratory.

The water inside the jar was originally blue (using some mouthwash) but the ink on the eyeballs made it look more black so I’ve placed a pic of jar without the eyes in the spoiler below to show the original colour - just excuse the cat, she was very interested!

i've discovered what appears to be a shrunken pumpkin-like creature, that appears to have developed some kind of growth to help it slither up the side of the jar? i can only imagine what will happen if it manages to unscrew the lid...

Witch Liz was caramelising the spiders for her soup. One had grown extremely large and it was proving difficult to keep them in the jar.

This is actually making me feel sick. I used worcester sauce to colour the water, the Dogs treat jar (much to their interest) and some spiders recently bought to terrorise my Family and work colleagues.

In this jar, there appears to be some plant life! But... Something doesn't seem right... It looks like the specimens have been infected by some kind of red growths. A type of mold perhaps? Either way, probably best not to eat any...

A bonus pictuer from when I tried to add Glow in the Dark Powder. You can't see my entry well enough through the powder, but I still think it's cool!

Specimen made using Plasticine. Water coloured with green food dye. There's also some Glow in the Dark Putty at the bottom of the jar, but that didn't really end up working like I'd hoped. Oh well!
