At first I wasn't going to submit anything, because I never learned to make a haiku. I'm far from a good writer, so I thought I'd find it difficult. But I gave it a try, and I actually enjoyed my time making it. Sure hope the syllable counter I use was correct. It wasn't, but I was allowed to resubmit. Added one syllable word in the second line.
Sleepovers are wild
He's dared to sneak into Nook's
Bones is arrested
Was too embarrassed to submit originally, but figure I might as well now that things are wrapping up
mine was lightly inspired by ‘do androids dream of electric sheep’ (aka blade runner. Not the main story, but the fact that people keep robotic animals as pets because they can’t afford real ones which are all very rare/ endangered seemed very acnh during a pandemic lockdown to me).
And really, just cause I thought the title was cute and very on theme for the fair.
Rest, electric sheep
Do you dream there in the void?
Do you remember?
Because I am an absolute weird nerd, I wrote two more lines too, which make it a tanka (another Japanese traditional poetry type)- a tanka is 5-7-5-7-7:
My subconscious wrote this yesterday night & I debated whether to post it or not xD The fair ends soon anyway so it can join the void:
Release Wandering
Minds, for it is time to sleep.
Now, One........Sheep. Two.........Sheep
(The last line plays on how Luna at the dream suite counts sheep reaaaaally slowly)
