After seeing so many people share their work, I figured that I would share mine. Leaf Power, the official gaming magazine of the Animal Crossing universe! I didn't team up with anyone, but I was up for the challenge! I decided to go with a spin-off of the old Nintendo Power magazine and make it look like the animals actually play the Animal Crossing games themselves and know what TBT is as well. I made many nods to the older AC games and I also wanted to make the issue look like it featured inside scoop tips for TBT Fair 2020 (hence the cosmic-themed cover). The barcode, when decoded with the correct version of UPC, comes out as the date that the Gamecube AC game came out in the U.S.. A lot of the elements were hand drawn and then I digitized the work to color it and add elements in that were hard to do consistently otherwise. I also had fun coming up with the usernames in the message section! xD
