pet peeves / lil stuff you cant stand

People online dig through old posts (or YouTube videos) that someone made almost 50 years ago and shows them off.

"See, person bad because of this!"

But things like that always rub me the wrong way. Looking at you, Twitter.
And I'm talking about super petty things or things this person has long have stop doing.

110%

also cancel culture is one of the worst things of the past years and should never have existed. do people really enjoy ruining other people's career so much because they are so poor and attention-seeking themselves :/

also those woke people need to learn the 60s or whatever decade that person did "bad" in was vastly different from today.

"There are others that have it worst, you know"

"You have ( a favorite materialistic item), which means you have no reason to feel sad." If I hear this one again..

We shouldn't be excusing each other emotions, just because some have it worst.

People who purposely keep reading your texts or emails the wrong way for any reason when you perfectly fine wrote nothing bad in it?

Do you really need to look THAT good, lol.

Twitter is absolute butt. I remember one post where someone asked a harmless question along the lines of 'Why do they do that?' And someone began throwing hands thinking it was a race thing when they were literally asking why did the person of said profession do this action. They wanted to know because they wanted to be informed.

If you look for trouble you will find it. I am convinced it has to be kids pretending to be adults. You gotta be ashamed of yourself to be a grown ass adult doing this.

It's annoying watching a movie and having someone playing with their phone/watching stuff with the volume blaring.

Yeah and people believing it is racist (baiting) because of this too. Like... just stop it acting like everyone is racist because they actually ask rather than assume.

The phrase "Things will get better" annoys me so much. Everytime I hear that its always a "lie" to me. I barely have anything positive to me and whenever it does its short lived.

When you complain the weather is cold and crap, there is always that numpty going on like " -2C is nothing, here we have -30C a lot and if I had your temperatures I'd go swim in short shorts" or something like that.

Like ok, not everyone lives in arctic areas around the world and some are more sensitive to cold weather than others.

Oh I hate that and when it's related to heatwave conditions in the summer as well, if I moan about it being too hot there's always someone around to say that we need to make the most of the sunny weather blah, blah, blah. 🙄😂

Yeah I do enjoy the heat but I get where you're coming from, people are always like that in winter too like "I loooove the thin crispy air let's go out or stuff" crispy what you are eating crisps in the snow or 😂

My brother seems to think I'm his personal post lady. He orders so many parcels that won't fit through the door with next day delivery, then just announces to me on the morning that they are coming. Am I supposed to revolve my life around his buying habits? I think not! Then, if I say I'm going out he isn't happy. I wouldn't mind so much if he asked first before he ordered and said will you be in on such and such day. Grr.

Mostly a instant chat/messenger thing but you tell someone something but then the person replying ignores you message and start writing other bull**** instead...

Like I had to tell a person I wouldn't make it into town today cause my allergy sneezes and such, and I told them there would be other times we could maybe meet up and he literally proceeded on ignoring that and instead be like "yeah i work here there and also here and sleep there maybe tomorrow or early next week"...like i already told him i wouldn't make it tomorrow and early next week for reasons so i just left it at that.

Bunch of glasses stuff:

When people grab your glasses for you but touch the glass part. (Whatevers on their hands usually smudges the glass and only spreads if you wipe it)

Your face oil gathering where it touches your face giving you acne there

Rain or vapor of any kind hindering your vision including your breath, the cold, and cooking

The "how many fingers am I holding?" Question. I can still see shapes, colors and sizes. I just cant see smaller or more detailed things like the words on that sign or someones face from far

Peoples suggestion to wear contacts instead or insisting how much "prettier" you look without them. (Like excuse me I'm more concerned about not squinting to read something like 3 feet away from me and would rather not fear poking my eyes every morning just to see.)

Also the stereotype of people aren't attractive with glasses and always have to have a smart/nerdy personality.

I hate it when I try to be friends with someone online and I have a decent conversation with them only for them to never text again. Usually it’s abrupt ghosting, but sometimes it’s direct. The worst time was when someone accepted my friend request, said “thanks for the nice conversation,” and quit replying. I tried reaching out a few times months later to no avail. Why did they even accept the friend request if they were just going to do that? I’ve unintentionally ghosted people before, but when they tried to reach out later I did get back to them.
