Just a random Pokemon thought but...I always do a re-playthrough of the current gen before continuing on to the newest games. Going through Sword again, I am very impressed with the soundtrack. Solid tracks all all around. Slumbering Weald and Once upon a Time are my favourites. Hopefully the music in ScarVio are just as good as SwSh.

I'm thinking about getting it since I never played when I was young. I really wanted Colosseum though because I heard its better. Guess I'll have to wait for that...

But I caught a Sylveon today!!! I was so surprised, I wasn't even looking for it, it just suddenly appeared and I was so thrilled, Sylveon is one of my favorite Pokemon, I have a Sylveon necklace from the Pokemon Center website I'm wearing and my town flag in ACNH is of Sylveon

It's worth it. Amazing game. Gym leader castle, 2 player vs battles with friends, and the mini games are fantastic!

I ended up playing and finishing Pokemon Shield for the final time. That's the last time I will play the gen VIII games. I beat Leon using a full legitimate shiny team featuring Shiny Surf Pikachu, Shiny Celebi, Shiny Gyarados, Shiny Charizard, Shiny Heracross, and Shiny Xatu. Some of them were from Pokemon Go and some were from Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The Celebi is an event Pokemon I received a long time ago. Now to wait for Pokemon Scarlet/Violet to arrive!

Not really. If you have played a Pokemon main series game before, you'll be used to the mechanics. The only thing I'd mention is that the champion is incredibly difficult unless you're well prepared to face them in battle, so I'd just make sure to plan your team well.

I really like that the new game is also an open world adventure, but also one that actually allows you to do things in your own order like BotW. I just don't understand why they randomly remove features, like set battle mode. But it's definitely inspired by Legends which is a fun experience.

I hope Legends becomes a regular series, but also I want a main game like Black/White.
No gimmicks, just pure battle and grinding. And just one generation of Pokémon, please.

I’m probably not buying S/V but to be honest, the new Pokemon is one of the best lots of new designs for me they’ve done, and I feel like that’s an unpopular opinion. Like gen 6 it’s so consistently gooood but it still has more standouts for me than 6 like Maushold, Slither Wing, Quaxly’s final evo (all starters are good again for once, although that one takes the cake), I love the dogs, the quartet, there aren’t too many legends, I think there’s a lot of funny stuff and fun ideas. There’s the right amount of cool and cute and even funny together this gen. 7 definitely peak designs for me but 9 is somewhere up there. I still hold that designs in 8 were a disaster lol

Battle tower should be the absolute 100% bare minimum postgame and I don’t care if it comes with an update or dlc, it’s dumb that it’s missing. If my SO gets the game though I’ll probably have it passed onto me, I had fun making a mockup team anyway.
