Pokémon Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet General Discussion

Yeah, I noticed this as well. I was like, so surprised! I don't remember the Unova map, but I did ponder how it could possibly impact the B/W story and the Indigo Disk story:0

Edit: I didn't play B/W, so this may be just an actual part of the game, but when looking at the map, I noticed this:

I'm pretty sure the part you have circled in red is just the Undella Bay underwater area, a post-game area for players of the game.

Sadly there's probably no telling where this mysterious Blueberry Academy ever was (but it's fun to think about for sure). 😔

For all we know, the size of both Blueberry Academy, as well as the size of the sea around Unova, could be huge or tiny. Judging by simply the size of Kitakam compared to Paldeai, I'd guess the size of BBA would probably be about the size of the central forested area of Unova (again with my little knowledge about Unova)

Thanks for filling me in on that info, I thought I was really onto something with the inconspicuous small blue dot.

Dokutaro

Those that know...what do you think will happen with it in the next DLC? Speculations?

I personally think it will be Poison/Ghost. Its obviously the trio master since its most likely the giver of the toxic chains

I just google imaged Dokutaro and saw a regional Riolu and Lucario form (they're flying types). Apparently they were a contest entry of some sort?

Maybe look harder? I googled it just now and got a lot of speculation fanart of what it might be. Dokutaro is actually in the Teal Mask game files. It appears in the top right of this panel above Okidogi.

I did see actual art of it, along with typing. Apparently, Dokutaro is the Loyal Three's leader, is Poison/Ghost type, and is supposed to be a small peach Pokemon.

Missed opportunity to name Bloodmoon Ursaluna "Zombear" given its lore and design, and how it looks like the literal walking dead, and also, I would have nicknamed Munkidori "Mojo Jojo" just for its Pokedex entry alone lol it's quite fitting.

Just something that randomly came to mind. A part of me would love to bring my baby squad over to Kitakami for new adventures and battles, but idk, I also don't want to support the whole, "selling us back cherry-picked Pokémon while not improving anything else," mindset GF is so dead set on doing. Either bring 'em all back and let us catch 'em all again, or nah.

Maybe Gen Ten or Gen 16 will be the one where GF finally gets a hang of console hardware, with the release of Switch 3.0 😅

somebody tell me....

has the main paldea region expanded since the recent update? or is it just me?

cause i feel like i'm coming across certain areas that i don't think i remember

No, only Kitakami was added.

aahh.... ok...

it's just me, then..... thanks :>

maybe it's just cause i hadn't played in awhile since 10/5/23... i've been playing my 2nd playthrough of violet since then from 16/9/23, though... but still... 😅

must've been the way i entered tagtree thicket that threw me off a bit... i entered it from somewhere else

I am very curious to see whats going to happen in the Part 2 of this DLC. I am more excited for that one. Part 1 in my opinion felt underwhelming.

I thought Part 1 was actually a decent story. If Kieran actually ends up as an evil champion then I say it was all worth it. Did you know that we've never had an evil champion in the games? I stopped watching the anime a long time ago so I wouldn't know, but every champion in the games was usually a good or neutral character. Kieran being an evil, insane champion obsessed with power would be a nice touch.

F’s in the chat for Malva, a member of the Elite Four who was also in Team Flare, a cool concept that was never touched upon again.. 🔥

Its very possible and yeah we never had an evil champion before. If Kieran is the champion then "We" as a champion ourselves need to battle him for him to come to his senses. I know he's hurting deep down and I felt so bad for him.

Would N count? By the time you reach Alder N has beaten him... Although I guess he was willing to hear both sides of the argument so hes a neutral character.

Yes, I consider N a neutral character.
He has a child-like mentality because he was insulated from the world by Team Plasma. Misguided definitely, but not evil.

So I did a little experiment with a saved game I created in Scarlet where I only had three Gym Badges and went to Kitakami to see if the game was level capped. It isn’t and the Pokémon are all level 30 or below. So you can catch Ogerpon at level 20 and use it in the main story.

It's actually still so wild to me that they refuse to scale the levels. But with this DLC not being scaled either it just feels even more like we're paying to have the full game... It's almost like we should've had the 'DLC' at the start of the game so we had access to all these mons at the appropriate levels of the game..
