You can see it under your sidebar and on your profile, but afaik if you wanted to count the dust you've donated already, yeah, you'd have to view your transaction log.

Yeah I think that's the only way unless you just save up and wait to donate. ;v; Filtering it to show only transactions to Target User: Celeste makes it a bit neater though!

I seem to can't earn anymore Carnival Dust, I've been doing my profile surfing, looking for dust like the rest of you guys, nothing.

Unless I seem to be doing something wrong that I totally overlooked...

Actually, the tent activities that unlock collectibles in the shop will unlock them for anyone to purchase with their carnival coins (or bells for the villager) at any time. You don't need to be in the tent or participate in the activity at all.

if we’re able to unlock the star fragment, it‘ll be available for everyone to purchase regardless of how much carnival dust they donated, what tent(s) they’re in, or even if they didn’t participate in this event at all

my time in the magic tent runs out in about 44 minutes, but i was able to gather and donate 117/200 carnival dust in one visit! i did try to keep track of when i earned dust and looked for any consistent lengths of time between each earning to try and figure out some sort of pattern, but it was pretty sporadic for me. i’ll keep a closer eye on it during my next visit to see if it truly is sporadic if no one else has pinpointed a pattern by then.

i’ve hit cooldown, which i don’t think will go away within the hour, so this is it for me for now. see you all later! happy dusting

It took me a while to figure out why people were dusting profiles and I didn’t know what the dust was for. I even used the search feature to find out if there was something I was missing. I didn’t know you could buy tickets to enter tents.

I was tired.

If I've done the math correctly, the bell prize for contributing 200 or more dust, assuming all of the milestones are hit, is 120TBT. Does that sound right to everyone else?

I encourage everyone to treat this as a side dish to their regular TBT and event activity, rather than something to intensely focus on. A marathon, instead of a sprint, so to speak. I understand that may feel different than past dusting events, but I don't want you to burn out posting 20 times a day for 2 weeks straight just to get dust -- which is why you won't find that to be a very productive method of collecting it! We may have some extra opportunities to collect dust later on.

tbh, I'm not really stressing over, but the only thing that slightly concerns me, which may be why others are so trying to figure out the cooldowns and all, is the fact that I can only earn dust while having access to this board

if it was can earn dust at any point, but can only donate dust while being able to visit the magic tent, it'd be pretty whatever. but though not intended, the quasi-timetable restriction kind of ends up adding a small bit of extra stress. though again, I'm sure it'll work out fine in the end, regardless. so I plan to just keep on going as usual

Just donated my 107 carnival dust before my ticket expires in less than 2 hours. Think my next dust trip will be in 4-ish days, idk, we'll see!

Hopefully I can get more before my ticket expires some point today.
Then I will have to figure out when its best to come back and collect more.

Can you check when tickets expire? Can’t remember exactly when I bought it for my reference 108 dust donated so far.

You should be able to see an expiry date and time if you click on the pass in your inventory.
