-The CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre Hell in the Cell was one of the most bloody and brutal WWE matches I've seen in a while. Despite all their differences, CM Punk continues to give so much for the WWE in not even a year, and he's honestly earned my respect. I'd love for him to face Seth Rollins next but I'd save that for WM41
I cannot wait for War Games but wonder how they will build up to it in the next few weeks. Also, where is John Cena?
Came in to say Punk vs Drew was absolutely incredible! The perfect match to blow off their feud and it was so brutal. Some of the spots had me going crazy like when Drew missed the Claymore and landed back first on the steps or when he took the toolbox to the dome haha. It was so incredible from a storytelling perspective too with the beads and how Drew cannot stop getting in his own way and how it cost him again. Punk will probably take a break until Rumble time to heat up a feud for Wrestlemania with Rollins and that's actually good because it's weird to have him and Drew still on the same brand after all of this right now, I'm surprised they didn't do a 'Loser Leaves Raw' stip.
And honestly if I were to guess, we probably won't get a Cena appearance until Netflix debut??
While “WWF Wrestlefest” was also a good arcade game, I’ve always found this one better. Idk why. Maybe because I prefer the Mega Bucks as the final boss over the Road Warriors? Or is it the music…or graphics? Who knows.
The deformed faces of early AI, Hulk Hogan having Hank Hill’s voice (and feud with Guy Fieri), Booker T advertising rubber ducks, Tazz praising rice pudding like it’s the best thing he’s ever eaten…. And of course the Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton hot dog eating contest!
I remember trying to watch "Young Rock" and being disappointed he made it more like a kids' show, if that made sense. I mean, I know he's kind of a nepo baby and knew a lot of classic wrestlers...but come on. Some of it was a bit far-fetched, and I was disappointed in the lack of Big Boss Man. (But that might be a personal issue lol.)
Wrestlers my dad says he saw in person, as he went twice— once before I was born, and once when I was little:
—Mr. Wonderful
—Hulk Hogan
—A tag team of lumberjacks? He couldn’t remember their names. They were fighting a tag team of Black guys and my dad said at one point it felt racist.
—The Wolf Pack (WCW) (At first he thought he saw the Big Show but I looked it up and it was Kevin Nash. Still a tall guy.)
—Scott Steiner
—Bobby Heenan (a manager, but you know)
—Ric Flair
—Buff Bagwell
—Chris Jericho
I mean, I knew he’d gone once in the early 90s, but not about the WCW stuff. Obviously I was too little to go lol.
He said that seeing how dressed up the fans got was just as entertaining as the matches.
Idk why Andre’s old matches in France (as “Jean Ferre”) are so interesting to me. Maybe it’s because they’re so different than his later ones, or old-school French wrestling isn’t what I usually watch.
yoooo poor cathy kelley she had to endure all of that haha
I haven't been watching much wrestling lately, but I'm gonna get back into it now that we're heading into Survivor Series (I got a lil burnt out after HIAC and Crown Jewel essentially filler LOL)
I also wanted to pop in and share this CRAAAAAZY Death Note cosplay Zelina and Rhea did!!
and I wouldn't be surprised if he won the damn thing it's gotta be him or Punk unless they do something monumental for first Netflix and have Cody drop the title to Rock or something and Roman wins the Rumble but I think that one is a big stretch but we'll see I'm so hyped
So... WWE FINALLY releases a Women's US Championship. They really cookin' now.
Everyone on the women's roster have been on absolute fire. They've EARNED this. I'm hoping once Raw goes to Netflix, they release a new Women's IC Championship. For now though, I think I'd want Michin to be the first to proudly wear that belt. She's been and also it would just look good on her. Everyone seems to be in favor of Chelsea Green though... she is my 2nd choice for sure. She's very funny and great at acting.
Anyone else dreading the possibility that they might let Vince back into the company again? Considering that he and Donald Trump are friends, I could see the lawsuit against Vince going away and then TKO letting Vince back into the fold.
I really hope not, since WWE has been putting out some great stuff since Paul Levesque has been in creative control. Vince is out of touch and had been for ages. Combine that with the allegations and please keep this man as far away from the reins of power as possible.
I'm kind of a passive fan. I first started watching in the Attitude Era back when I was a kid and I kept on with it through Ruthless Aggression and kind of dropped off during the PG Era, only paying loose attention. A friend of mine stuck with it during the periods I wasn't watching and kept me informed. Though I never got to watch PPVs as a kid, for a number of years, I made it a habit to at least check out WrestleMania.
I wish Vince was gone long before and hadn't squandered so many things. I'm not fond of AEW for a few reasons, so I wish we were in a timeline where we still had people like Claudio Castagnoli, Adam Cole and Samoa Joe in WWE.
Nowadays I just keep up with things by watching the clips of RAW and SmackDown! that they post on YouTube and also watching the premium live events. Now that RAW is on Netflix and SmackDown is no longer on a channel I can get with an antenna (since I don't care about tv and don't want to pay for cable or satellite), it'll probably stay that way until Netflix eventually absorbs the premium live events too.

nooooo keep Vince's ass out for the love of mankind bah gawd
At the very least though, it isn't HIS company anymore. He can't control it. I heard heard he was starting up his own entertainment business altogether. Like I'd ever be interested though.
I just remembered that Miss Elizabeth’s birthday is November 19th. She would have been 64 years old this year. It's sad that she died so young, but I guess in a way it's bittersweet she and Randy are reunited. It's a shame that so many people in this industry don't live long.
