On west coast time so it is not quite time for RAW yet, but Dim is definitely right about it being the superior show. Not only are the storylines more compelling, but there's such an abundance of star power compared to SD.

RAW: Punk, McIntyre, Rollins, GUNTHER, Sami, Jey Uso, Priest, Ripley, Judgement Day, Wyatt Sicks, Gable, Bronson Reed, etc.

SD: Cody, Reigns (sometimes), Orton, Owens, LA Knight, Andrade, Santos, Carmelo, etc.

Despite being 3-hours, Raw flows seamlessly while SD, like mentioned above, feels repetitive. I can't tell you how many times we've been fed some combo of KO spinning his wheels so they just throw him in a random match with Theory/Waller LOL.

Jacob Fatu is gonna be massive though I can't wait 😮‍💨

I'm really hoping they throw Chelsea a bone and give her the title for like 3 months. Let her squeak through her title defenses with every dirty trick in the book imaginable and have Piper be her enforcer.

@Javocado It was the MSG yearly Christmas Special (house show). The most memorable part was Kevin Owens vs Edge. It was a great match that unfortunately never happened on TV.

I grew up in the heart of the PG Era (with some memories of the ruthless aggression era). I watched the Shawn vs Taker Mania matches live on TV and I'm so glad for that. My brother purchased the PPV's and that cemented me as a fan forever.

@Dim I haven't gotten to see a WrestleMania live. Although I did attend AEW All In a couple weeks ago at Wembley Stadium. I've attended an indie show, (met Ron Simmons of the APA) MSG house show, raw, dynamite, collision, and now All In.

Will try to catch Raw tonight. I've enjoyed what I've seen so far of it. I'm just not a weekly follower unfortunately. I do catch the PPV's tho
Sounds like a dope show. If everything goes according to plan, I could be live at Raw next Monday. 🤞

@QueenCobra

All In was cool. It's always fun seeing wrestling in person.

Seeing Bryan Danielson was very special to me. (Being another wrestler that I grew up with but I never got to see at a live show). It was also the second time I've caught Sting live.

I watched WrestleMania 30 on my TV as a kid. I remember seeing Daniel Bryan celebrating after defeating evolution. It was also the show that the undertakers undefeated streak ended on.

So, getting to see Daniel Bryan celebrating his world title win in person a couple weeks ago was a special moment.

Quick thoughts:

Lots of signs in the crowd look good on TV.

It's terrible in person. You can't see the ring if the person in front is holding a giant sign up into the air.

I don't mind that less people are bringing signs to shows. Maybe if fans had more etiquette. In my experience, people with a sign will keep them up until somebody complains.

Or until Bayley or Randy Orton decide to rip em up 👀

YEEEEEEEEEEEET
Jey really did it, he won his first singles title! I'm genuinely surprised that they pulled the trigger on it, but they kind of booked themselves into a corner with this one. Jey has been hot foreeeeeever now and if he lost another big match be it interference or not I think that would be simply too much. I'm a little bothered that Bron lost, but he's gonna be fine, he's still the next big thing and I would not be surprised if he won it back relatively quickly but I'm very happy for Uce!

I dozed off and couldn't stay awake for it, unfortunately. I'm bothered by Bron losing momentum so soon as well but Jey has been busting his ass for the company for years so good for him. I honestly hope Sami wins that World Heavyweight championship from Gunther though. He's been on fire for years. It's his time.

Also, I'm glad to see them pushing Damage CTRL. Iyo and Kairi are so fun to watch.

Yeah I don't know where Bron goes from here without losing more momentum without directly winning it back? Maybe New Bloodline can cost Jey the title in a rematch (although screwy finish doesn't look make Bron look strong, it's a good way to incentivize Jey into the rumored Bloodline vs Bloodline match at Survivor Series). They could have Punk be Bron's next feud and I think Bron would come out of that one with a W.

They really messed up here. Ideally, Sami shouldn't have won the IC, Jey should have gotten IC sooner, and Bron could've taken it from Jey instead of Sami. They could still run Gunther vs Sami without Sami having beaten Gunther, it's still gonna be a banger. I don't think Sami is going over Gunther, but I can see them giving it to him in the next two years. I just think there's a lot of people who are gonna get a reign before he gets it IMO (Punk, Drew, Bron to name a few).

The Vince Documentary has dropped today on Netflix. I've watched some of the episodes.

I'll give a heads up that it's more so about WWE history than an actual thing against Vince.

There are some Vince controversies sprinkled in there, but to me it seems very catered towards teaching non wrestling fans about WWE.

I'm guessing that's because Netflix is picking up Monday Night Raw and is preparing for a new audience.

Yeah you're probably right on the nose with that. I don't think Netflix would have something on that totally buries Vince since WWE is gonna have their flagship show on there. Despite how much of a scumbag VM is, his name will forever be synonymous with the company. I'm surprised another streaming service did not end up with this doc, as it probably would've been unfiltered lol.

On another note, did anyone check out Jeff Hardy paying tribute to The Fiend/Bray Wyatt with this face paint?? It looks amazing!

I know there's a rumor going around that Asuka has been secretly released from the WWE, but that's not true. She's still recovering from surgery. It's tough because she's an amazing performer, but hopefully she can return.

I didn't hear that rumor, but that's wild that's going around. Asuka is one of my favorite talents on the roster, I hope she gets one more run at the top eventually. 😭

If you guys are into reading wrestling rumors like I am, you should check out Cageside Seats. I read their rumor roundup every morning (except Sundays, I don't think they have them that day). It's not only WWE by the way, they cover other promotions. But as always, take everything you read with a grain of salt. They're still fun to read whether they end up coming true or not. I saw one the other day about Bron Breakker that I'm not gonna post here, you can find it if you're interested LOL but here's today's batch:

Smackdown is starting to pick back up again. Lots of stars returning and the overall quality of the matches and storylines are getting better imo. Next week we got:

-Michin vs Chelsea Green in a "dumpster" match which I'm interested to see. Michin and Chelsea have both been doing great and I'm loving how fun their fued is. They keep smashing each other with/into trash cans week after week and a dumpster match is the way to go lol
-A freaking Triple Threat ladder match for the tag team championships, hell yeah! I mean, Bloodline is gonna retain though unfortunately but it'll be a good match
-AJ Styles finally comes back! Smackdown needed him, honestly. Maybe he will get thrown in with this LA Knight, Andrade, and Carmelo Hayse altercation?

Did you hear that Smackdown is gonna potentially be a three hour show now??

I wonder if it'll flow seamlessly together like RAW does, but nonetheless, I'm excited because we're gonna see some underutilized talent fill the extra time we're gonna be getting. Imagine we get a Ironman match with Carmelo and Andrade with all that extra time?? That would be NUTS. But if they choose to blow off the feud like that, I would hope whoever comes out of it gets a shot at the WWE Championship as opposed to the US Title haha.

Bron Breakker face turn is upon us! I think it's a little too soon, but he's got hella dogs barking already so he might as well be a face. GUNTHER vs Bron will feed families.

Just as a suspected:

-Dumpster match was fun af. Michin is on fire 🔥
-Bayley gave a great promo before her match with Nia
-Ladder match was fantastic! I knew Bloodline was going to win, but I had my hopes up on Street Profits finally winning anyways which sucks. It was funny seeing SP and DIY gang up on Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa though!

Also, I missed the finish to AJ Styles vs Carmelo Hayse, but I saw Styles got an ankle injury? Does anyone know if it's legit or a work? That would SUCK if Styles got taken out the day he returned...

Bad Blood was crazy:

-The CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre Hell in the Cell was one of the most bloody and brutal WWE matches I've seen in a while. Despite all their differences, CM Punk continues to give so much for the WWE in not even a year, and he's honestly earned my respect. I'd love for him to face Seth Rollins next but I'd save that for WM41
-Rhea vs Liv was great. I honestly did not see Raquel Rodriguez returning to turn heel, but she too wanted revenge on Rhea. It looks like she will be joining The Judgement Day and honestly, they could use her as a powerhouse. That's what they are lacking right now. I hope Becky Lynch returns though and gives Liv and Dom payback.
-Reigns & Cody vs Bloodline was amazing. Glad to see Jimmy and The Rock finally back. Very interested to see what The Rock will do next.

I cannot wait for War Games but wonder how they will build up to it in the next few weeks. Also, where is John Cena? :(
