It's long been rumored that cooking would be coming to the game at some point, as a handful of other vegetable names have been found in previous datamines. It would seem like it would have made sense to introduce cooking and other vegetables before Turkey Day, but I thought Turkey Day also offered some insights into how this could work in the future.
Some observations:
It seems like if they add cooking, it will be just like DIYs, and you would get recipes from your villagers the same way you do DIYs.
After today, do you think cooking is more likely or less likely to be coming to the game later?
Some observations:
- Villagers that were indoors replaced their DIY table with a stove or system kitchen (unless they already had kitchen furniture in their house. Lolly was working at her kitchen island, for example)
- The indoor villagers had a new "cooking" animation when working
- By default, the indoor villagers were wearing chef outfits, but I noticed in some screenshots, some player's villagers were wearing aprons (that I assumed were gifted by the player previously). This seems to suggest some clothing items are designated for cooking, the same way there are exercise outfits, or rain outfits.
