hit 2600 VR on mario kart 8 deluxe with orange yoshi + played mario kart with forum peoples earlier which was mega rad rad. also i’ve decided on a line-up to go for (acquired a teal house from @/Croconaw today too)!! ;u;

(from yesterday because i’ve been so tired but) my boyfriend and my friends came over for an early birthday get together with my family and it was the first time in years that i’d looked forward to my birthday

★ yesterday morning started out stressful but I took and early shower and did a few things for self-care, that was so nice
★ while I was at work yesterday one of my co-workers mentioned giving out free pokemon stickers! so when they set out the little paper basket full of stickers ofc I had to look through all of them. I wanted to leave as many for the kids as I could, so I ended up picking out Leafeon, Lurantis, and Centiskorch! part of me really wants to put the Centiskorch sticker on my mug, but the white outline around it is so big so I'm not sure, but I'll keep thinking about it! he may not be a better bug/fire type than Volcarona but he still looks cool as heck hehe
★ I played Mario Party: Island Tour for a good while earlier today! I had actually started playing a few weeks ago, but I forgot and my 3DS went dead. I played Bowser's Tower, it was fun seeing the chain chomp and after playing through a bunch of minigames I finally got to the one where the objective is to avoid getting flattened by the tox boxes lol. I also played Perilous Palace Path, and after almost losing a few times I came in clutch and ended up winning by knocking out Mr Whompo with just a few slaps and a nice ground pound (RIP by the way)
★ about yesterday again, on my way home from work I had a breathtaking view of the Ohio countryside and I had to take a picture! don't worry, I definitely was not driving distracted, but I'm so glad I was able to capture this moment
★ I found someone selling a copy of Mario Party 3 for a really good price, I technically wasn't planning on buy it anytime soon, but the more I see/read about this game the more I love it. It has Waluigi and Daisy, it has rock boys in Creepy Cavern, it has hilarious board antics, it has a snifit, it has WALUIGI'S ISLAND. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being my favorite Mario Party game! I'm not sure yet when I'm gonna buy it, though I may need to jump on it soon before someone else snatches it up!
★ I've been messing with stuff in Blender again, I wanted to put some of my favorite Super Mario characters together for another "size chart" kinda deal. I was very excited to see that the Wallop and Prongo were finally added to The Models Resource! (even if I was like 3 years late oops) but I was sad to see that Blender decided to massacre both of my boys, the poor wallop looks traumatized
of course everyone else looks okay though! I just love how the tox box is absolutely massive compared to everyone else haha. they're smaller in Mario Party Island Tour but in SMG1/2 they're huge and we like a good giant box boye. I like to think I got the other heights correct too, they might be a bit off but I can fix them later. It's just been fun doing this and fangirling over it (even if the wallop did legitimately make me lose my **** for like half an hour).
★ yesterday I came up with a really awesome drawing idea!! I won't spoil it, but to the shock of absolutely no one on this forum, it is Super Mario related! but there won't be any rock boys involved this time, oh no, I have something even better in store.
I'd say overall I'm feeling very happy, I've also been free from anxiety today which is awesome. I have so much to be grateful for!

I kept visiting TBT, but not this thread! Today was a good one for me. 
- This was from last night, but I finally finished a drawing! I made it for @/Roxxy
as an extremely late birthday present oopsand she absolutely loved it! - Work was pretty chill in the morning. There were some stuff to do eventually, but I didn't mind that as I got to help out with various tasks! I uh, also took the opportunity to leave some relaxing Zelda soundtracks playing in the background while doing what I have to do. Ah yes, I can do some clean up while Ordon Ranch plays in the background. One of my co-workers made a comment saying that the music compilation reminded them of Runescape somehow.
- I watched the 2023 Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix! Surprise surprise, Max Verstappen won yet again, but I still got to witness some great battles! That overtake from Esteban Ocon against Daniel Ricciardo was amazing since they were literally a couple of centimeters away from making contact and got away without an incident.
- I played Gran Turismo 7 and tackled another online time trial event. It took me a lot more time than anticipated to reach the gold target time since the 2013 Dodge Viper GTS that I had to use was being quite a handful, not to mention the track itself where it's easy to hit walls. I'm glad I did it in the end or else I would've gone insane lol.
There's a running theme where this guy from Saudi Arabia keeps getting world records for the online leaderboards. A lot of people (including myself) have suffered from being bumped just outside of the desired target times we want. Let's hope he doesn't improve massively or I'll cry lol.
- I had an awesome chat with @/xSuperMario64x as usual, but he shared a piano recording where he did a cover of Sweet Mystery Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy 2 and I got to have a listen. It's beautiful!
- I finally got around to making progress on one of the activities in the observatory area.

Today I'm happy because:
- I played some more Kena: Bridge of spirits last night.
- I got to bed slightly earlier than the previous night and slept really deeply. I also got to sleep in this morning. My dog hasn't even been waking me up for his breakfast this weekend...or maybe he tried and couldn't get me up because I was passed out.
- We had a nice afternoon walk and saw some cute dogs and cats.
- I finished Outlander season 6 and The Witcher season 3.
- I'm almost caught up on Jujutsu Kaisen. I've watched episodes 1-3 of the current season now.
- The Moon Bunnies are amazing!
- We unlocked the backdrop from The Bridge and it's so pretty!

had a delightful day filled with cafe hopping and pastry consuming with my partner and sib-in-law. among the favorites were: a roasted corn kouign-amann, a cucumber lime refresher and a pomegranate turkish delight! i love a beautiful chill day where i get to explore the city with good company and don't have any pressing time obligations.
also, the weather finally cooperated and we had a sunny, but shaded and windy day to walk around in. essential for summer time fun!

On Friday we went to Walmart (a yucky place filled with freaks and weirdos haha) to buy a new cooler to take with us to the beach, and I was able to pick up a copy of Pikmin 4 and a new Switch Pro Controller. I'm excited to start playing sometime this week! 
And on Saturday we went to the beach. I couldn't post about it then because it was such a tiring day but it was a lot of fun! It was our second time taking the ferry to an island just off the horizon, it has a nice beach, wide open skies, and we had a barbecue (though it would have been better if we hadn't been antagonized by the seagulls lol) I'm not crazy about the whole "getting ready" process before going to any place, because my family makes everything so unnecessarily difficult and hectic, but the ferry ride is always a good time

Well the day is only about half over, but I'm happy it's nice outside and I got to spend some time in the yard this morning. Lately I haven't done anything very remarkable so it's hard to really talk about my day...I mean no one wants to hear...I got up, I took a shower, I logged into TBT and I've been here ever since.

☆ I got to visit my PoPo yesterday! It was so fun to see her and she was super impressed I learned how to use chop-sticks finally! She made delicious Salmon, broccoli, rice, and stringbeans! 
☆ I exercised this morning! I have been getting back into routine and honestly the little bird and cicada noises give me natural music lol! I love doing all my stretches and exercises outside because its so peaceful and relaxing for my soul!
☆ I played some more Dragon Quest Heroes! I finally beat Atlas and Zoma. Now I have finished all the grottoes! I just need to get a few more trophies and two more Puff-Puff's and then I'm done!
☆ It's been nice and sunny which is great! It always puts me in a good mood when I open my blinds in the morning.
☆ Me and my mother went shopping again! It's always fun to get fresh fruit and vegetables for our snacks! We also made a stop at Target and I GOT SOME MORE AMIIBO CARD PACKS! I'm literally so close to getting all of them so I should just trade..... but its fun!
☆ I go back to school on August 10th and I AM SO EXCITED! It's going to be so fun and I just am estatic! I LOVE SCHOOL so this year will be fabulous!
