What Are You Happy About Today?

I've been away from this thread while focusing on the event, but now that I've submitted all my major entries I'm back!

Just a highlight of the things I've been happy about over the past few weeks:

- Space Camp! I've been having a lot of fun with the events and my team. It's been a great experience as always!
- My husband and my dog! They've been sweet and loving. My husband is there for me when I need him. I love them dearly!
- I've met some adorable dogs in my neighborhood.
- I've seen Mortimer, the bat, several times as well as a different bat one night.
- I saw a beautiful C8 Corvette parked on the road during our walk today. It was my first time getting a close up view.
- I dusted my desk and it looks so much better. It's been needing it for a while.

I hope you all have been well and have had lots of things to be happy about!

I really missed seeing your daily posts in this thread, LadyDestani. And it's great that you saw a C8 Corvette! I guess we can give each other a high five since I spotted one too lol. Speaking of Corvettes, I'm not sure if you saw my older post, but an update dropped for Gran Turismo 7 the other day and the C1 Corvette got added to the game! I almost wanted to cry, especially since it was in colour red just like the one I saw in real life! I may or may not have spent a lot of time driving it.

August 9, 2023 to August 11, 2023

• At work, I was doing stuff as per usual. A couple of cars definitely caught my interest when they were being brought in for service. First, I got to assist my co-worker finding an issue from a Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk7! I was also told to rev the engine for a bit which was obviously the fun part for me hehehe. The second one worth mentioning is a 2003 Honda Element! Wait, what? It only had to be checked for something quickly, but I got to go for a test drive with it! It's pretty silly, but I genuinely got excited for that. Why? Because believe it or not, it appears as a drivable vehicle in the older Gran Turismo games! Anyways, an issue for the Element got quickly resolved after one of my co-workers fixed it.
• Speaking of which, I got to play a bit of Gran Turismo 7 again and did some time trial runs. I took the Volkswagen Golf GTI for a drive like the one I mentioned earlier and I said to myself, "wow, the interior looks just like the one I was in at work". However, the main difference is that the one in-game had two doors while the one at work had four doors.
• I worked on my passport for the event and made some progress.
• I played Tears of the Kingdom and got some more headgear items after exploring in the depths! All that I got were a callback to the previous Zelda games and I love that.
• I made some pixel art!
• I bought a DVD of the Super Mario Bros. Movie, so I can watch it again with my sister whenever I like!

August 12, 2023

• I had a pleasant surprise in the morning from @/jadetine telling me that she finally finished a drawing for me that I could use as my profile pic! Of course, I requested a certain birb to be drawn and I absolutely love the way he looks.
• I cooked some food for dinner and has some raw red onions on the side lol. I'm telling you, it tastes really great with it!
• I've yet again made more progress on my passport.

➣ I finished my entry for the UFO Findings today and I'm satisfied with how it turned out. Writing is not my strong suit, haha.
➣ I completed my re-watch of BLUELOCK today and enjoyed it even more the second time around. I'm looking forward to the second season.
➣ I'm competing in the Mario Party Superstars gaming session tomorrow morning. I haven't played that game in so long.
➣ I spent lots of time battling on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and made some progress on my BR.

☾ I got up in time to watch the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate stream this morning, and immediately after got to watch an episode of Hunter x Hunter and Fairy Tail with my parents! We also got to see InTheLittleWood's newest New Life episode and a few other short videos later on.
☾ I had both of our kitties in my lap at the same time today ;v;
☾ Played a ton of Stardew Valley! Finally finished gathering enough wood to cram my cellar with more casks, got some other farm work done, and completed my very last Monster Eradication goal!! Now that springtime has rolled around again, all my new pigs are really helping me rake in that truffle oil cash too.
☾ Also... Space Camp inspired me, and I decided to treat myself a little—I ordered a copy of SSBU! I will try to figure it out and maybe game with some of you lovely people in the future!!

Today I'm happy because,

- I got to sleep in.

- I'm continuing to build Kafka in Honkai: Star Rail.

- Loved on my kitties and going to get groceries.

- The Texas Rangers smoked the San Francisco Giants yesterday 9-3 and are going for the series sweep today!

☆ I started school on August 10th and it was THE BEST! I love all my classes and teachers
☆ I have seen so many new and old friends! I even have a few classes with them!
☆ I also visited my PoPo (Chinese Grandma) today! We had Chicken, Rice, and Snow Peas!
☆ My mother and me went to Walmart to buy my favorite pens that were on sale.
☆ I got my first phone today and its super cool but confusing lol!

I have been so incredibly busy with school starting again but it has been so fun!

this was a few days ago, but I install dolphin emulator, and I figured out how to play two of my favorite harvest moon games: Tree of Tranquility and Animal Parade. I’ve missed them so much and so happy I can play them again :,)

I had a great violin lesson on Saturday. My instructor is awesome and really friendly. I have another lesson set up for next Saturday. I practed for 2 hours today. Enjoying it so much. Excited to keep learning

Finally got some new glasses after two years and I love them so much! They look good with my newly styled hairstyle. Finally figured out how to do a messy side part, so I would like to share my glasses and my new hairstyle.

Another thing I’m happy for today is I decided I wanted to do something different with my characters in my games, as I realized that I was never gonna get my character to look exactly like me. So why not do whatever I want? So I changed my Pokémon Violet character to now have pink hair and pink colored eyes. I love the look so much more and it been really fun to play my game now.

Finally, I guessed really close in CITB! Won my team 50 points! Wooo!

☾ Oh my gosh I participated in my first forum gaming session, which was also my first time playing Among Us, and had a super fun time!! ;v; I even bought some cute lil bean cosmetics afterwards with the currency I earned from playing, and got a sweet ace pride nameplate ahaha! I'd honestly love to play this with some TBTers again sometime, it was such a blast.
☾ The Moon Bunnies unlocked the Cargo backdrop and alien "abducted" reaction! That little green alien feels especially relevant with the recent occurrences at Space Camp, so I'm glad to finally be able to use it! Also got a good laugh out of the Amazon pages for the plastic babies that Oblivia linked for us
☾ I watched another episode of Hunter x Hunter with my family today! Unfortunately Episode 1072 of One Piece appears to be corrupted (at least on the PS4 Crunchyroll app), so we weren't able to watch it today, but hopefully soon!
☾ And after doing what I could with the Scavenger Race this evening, I chilled out with some Stardew Valley! Now my main goal is just to keep saving up for the Golden Clock. It's the last thing I need to achieve Perfection!!

I'll have to leave for work soon, but first there are a few things from the last couple days that I'm happy about

★ so on Wednesday of last week I mentioned that I wanted to get a poster frame so I could hang up one of my Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon posters. after my dentist appointment I ended up going out and doing just that! I couldn't find a frame that was the exact size I needed, the poster is 18x22 inches, but I got a 18x24 frame that works just fine! ended up filling in the empty space with black construction paper which worked out great. so the poster is now hanging on my wall, along with a cute little Halloween sign I bought a few days earlier, I'm all ready for my favorite holiday now!

★ while I was out on Wednesday afternoon I actually went to a few different places, comparing frame prices. idk how it always works out this way, but my eyes are constantly drawn to things that have to do with Super Mario (huh I wonder why), and I ended up seeing a lot of neat stuff! I didn't buy everything, of course, but I did end up getting a few of them and it made me feel much better after dealing with that stressful appointment

I found this composition set for $13 and omg yall?? where in the world was this when I was in 8th grade?? I would've absolutely lost it!! one of my favorite things about being an adult is being able to satisfy my inner child and buy the things I always wanted back then but couldn't get. this set also includes a folder, but it's not pictured since it's lying under the binder. it just has the broskis on it hehe also also the composition book and notebook are holo and reflect rainbows which is always GREAT!!!

I was looking at fabric, hoping to get a quarter yard of green fabric so I could make a scarf for my kitsune Luigi plush, and while I ended up not finding that I did find this! there was also a set of like 5 different fabrics with all different characters, but the color printing was a bit off so I went with this one instead. I'm currently working on making a pillowcase out of it, for one of my smaller pillows!

and then of course I saw these, I didn't buy them but seeing them made me feel happy hehe

★ I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I GUESSED THE EXACT RIGHT NUMBER FOR COUNT INSIDE THE BOTTLE ROUND 3 SKDJFKSDF THAT WAS AMAZING
I have some really wonderful lineup ideas planned with the rainbow crescent moon in mind, I'm so happy I was able to secure it for myself!! I really love rainbow stuff and it means a lot to me, I wasn't even gonna get my hopes up and now I can take a bit of a breather and be eternally grateful that I managed to win it

and I have to say, good luck to everyone else who's aiming for one!! I'm sure some very deserving people will win them!!

★ I've been talking to quite a few friends lately, they're all struggling in their own ways and it is a lot of weight to bear, but I don't mind shouldering their burdens for a while because being able to help people brings me an insurmountable joy my friends are really amazing people and they deserve to be happy and to have someone to lean on and listen to them, and as long as I'm breathing I'll be that person for them

Today me and my friend pretty much got confirmation of our tattoo appoointment in October and I'm so excited! We're about to get a matching tattoo of a turtle from an amazing japanese tattoo artist coming to Paris for a few days and I can't quite believe it's really gonna happen!
I'm also excited about a lot of things, mainly the the addition of Fontaine in Genshin, but also my singing lessons coming back (my teacher was on holiday break)!
I'm also looking forwards to friday and Honkai Star Rail's direct program featuring my baby Fu Xuan who I've been saving for a long time now!
And also the release of Addison Rae's unreleased tracks, at long last!!!!!! I'm so excited.

I was feeling upset and down, but the people that care about me the most made me realize that they're really on my side. And it calmed me down a lot, so much so that I broke down crying. I've felt lately like I've been too negative around others, but the ones who support me always remind me that isn't the case.

A few happies from the past 2 days:

- I saw several of my wild animal friends: Mortimer the bat, Cicely the bunny, and Fiona the groundhog.
- I was able to contribute to the Scavenger Race. I'm so proud of my team and happy to be a Moon Bunny!
- I was pretty sick over the weekend but I'm feeling better now and eating like normal again.
- My mom gave me a homegrown tomato the last time I visited her and I was able to use it in a salad. Store bought tomatoes really don't compare. It reminded me of the tomatoes my grandfather used to grow in his garden.

☾ I got to play a good amount of Stardew Valley today!! Thanks to my army of truffle pigs and my slowly-expanding Ancient Fruit Wine operation, I'm almost halfway towards saving up enough money for the Golden Clock!
☾ Went through some old clothes of mine we found in a box in another closet, and reclaimed a couple scarves and a knit beanie from it! The beanie is also only a black stripe away from being a straight-up genderfluid pride flag, so I especially like it for that reason hehe!
☾ I got to watch a little Youtube with my family too!

- I worked out in the backyard.
- Played AC: New Horizons and Sherb moved in after I went on an island tour yesterday and convinced him to move in. So glad to have him as a resident since he's one of my favorites.
- Got a haircut this morning.
- Finished a drawing of my cousin that I'll give her as a present for her upcoming birthday.
- Took a picture of Luna the cat jumping in midair to catch a fly.
