What Are You Happy About Today?

Today I'm happy because,

- I got up early and have been productive at work.

- Yesterday the Texas Rangers beat the LA Angels 12-0 courtesy of Max Scherzer's stellar performance.

- I finished building Kafka in HSR yesterday.

- I received more tokens today from Space Camp TBT even though I wasn't expecting any more! Got a bit confused, but it was a nice surprise!

a texas rangers fan, eh? that is quite a blowout though, omg.

i'm happy today because i just remembered i have an iced cortado in the fridge and i'm feeling better than i have the past few days, yeah buddy!!

I got my A-level results today and I blew it out the park !! I was predicted BBB but I got an AAB and I got into my dream university

I had to fight really hard to be here today. I had to resit my courses and move 70 miles away from my college for my own safety, but I chose to stay at my college so that I didn't have to fight the battle of resitting AGAIN. I would revise 4 hours a day on my train to and from college, it was so difficult but it paid off. Im very proud of myself.

I went to a pet store after work last night for dog food and they had one cat by herself up for adoption. 4 years old, spayed, socializes well with everything, etc. They said she was returned to shelters multiple times because of divorces, landlords, family issues... nothing that was her fault. I told my cousin about her. My cousin told her neighbor. Well.... the neighbor went today and adopted her :") Her name was Spice. They added pumpkin so now Pumpkin Spice has her forever family. That makes me happy.

• I have a day off from work, so I got to sleep in for a bit.
• I played Tears of the Kingdom and just wandered around the overworld while exploring a few caves in the process. I got a couple pieces of clothing too as a result!
• Feel free to skip this point. I had to go somewhere for a bit and spotted a Toyota Previa in a parking lot! What's interesting about this van is that it's all wheel drive, supercharged, and has a mid-engine layout (which means it's located between the two wheel axles)! These perks sound more like something you'd hear on a flashy sports car. Not on a regular van for every day use. Shoutout to @/xSuperMario64x for telling me the existence about this wacky Toyota van months ago or else I wouldn't have known about it hahaha.
• I cooked popcorn chicken for dinner and it tasted good!
• It's a bit lengthy, so feel free to skip this point too. Speaking of Toyota vans, I played Gran Turismo 7 and had lots of fun driving this vehicle that's been gifted to me after watching a couple of streams to do that. You likely won't believe me when I say this, but oh my goodness a 2021 Toyota Ambulance HiMedic got added to the game! Yes, a literal ambulance van from Japan can be driven and it's absolutely hilarious lol. While it's huge, heavy, slow, and lacks power, I legit get more hyped driving this absolute unit than a supercar. And I haven't even mentioned yet how you can activate the sirens when pressing the horn along with voice announcements when using turn signals and flashing headlights. Anyways, I dared to enter it in a few races after applying a lot of upgrades (and even then it still struggles to keep up) and it made for some funny snapshots! I'll drop a few for those who are curious.

Imagine driving a 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR T.M SCP and you see a van flying in your rear view mirror.

I guess the HiMedic wanted to join the Wakaliwood Ghetto Rally with the 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi too. If you get the reference, great job! If not, here's a short clip of it lol. By the way, underlined names indicate I've seen that car (or at least similar in appearance) in real life!

I gained some serious air time with the 2004 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II Nür (R34). I was laughing at how this scene is even possible.

And finally, I destroyed a 2019 Mazda 3's hopes and dreams of winning the race by 0.029 seconds. Something tells me it doesn't want to see my face anymore and avoid showing up at my workplace. I blasted my sirens as I was overtaking it on the final straight, so they probably couldn't handle the pressure from an ambulance van oops.

No really, I'm not making this up.

• It rained in the evening and the sound of raindrops made me feel relaxed.

☾ Our older kitty was being super sweet today ;w; She was a lot cuddlier than usual, took a nap on my bed next to me while I was at my desk, and stole my seat a few times too ahahah
☾ My copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has arrived!! I think I'm figuring it out alright so far, and I unlocked a few characters in Classic Mode, including Isabelle! There's a few more I want to try out, but she feels the most natural to me of the ones I've played. I even wound up making a few more Miis to use as Mii Fighters ahaha—and since I was enjoying myself, I got a few of the costume DLCs and the Dragon Quest Hero + Minecraft Steve! My excuse is that I got SSBU on sale anyway. I'm definitely looking forward to playing this in the next gaming event or some TBT Neighborly Games matches!! ^^
☾ I've had a really great time in Space Camp with the Moon Bunnies and lovely people across the crews, and I'm excited to see how it all wraps up!!
☾ I handled dinner tonight (vegetable soup and roasted potatoes) and it turned out really well! There's even some leftover soup for tomorrow.

I've been happy about a few things since my last post.

- I saw some of the neighborhood dogs outside getting a bath. One was rolling around in the grass looking so cute. When they saw us, they came running over to greet us. My dog wasn't too happy about that, but I enjoyed meeting them.
- I saw a cute squirrel with a nut in its mouth stop on a tree branch and stare at me when I got home the other day.
- My dog has been sweet and cuddly with me.
- I got free pizza for lunch yesterday at work.
- I've finally got my first pretty astrologian outfit in FFXIV. I love the beautiful dresses and pointy hats I've seen others wearing, but it took until level 60 for me to start getting the cool gear.
- I'm still having fun playing the astrologian class. I'm not bored with it like I was with white mage.
- Space Camp is nearly over and while it's been a lot of fun, I'm kind of ready for life to go back to normal. I've enjoyed the events. I love my team. And the collectibles! It's been so hard to decide which ones to buy, but I'll need to make a decision soon.
- Tomorrow is Friday. My husband wants to see Blue Beetle so we're making a date night of it. Then I get to enjoy the weekend.

I wonder if anyone on here can translate the Japanese text.

It's been a bit too long since I've tried to read kanji. I can tell that the 2 characters in front of the number 20 are the first 2 kanji in the word for ambulance. The 1st symbol means to save or rescue. The 2nd symbol means emergency or hurry. It's missing the 3rd symbol which means vehicle.

I recognize a few of the other kanji but without knowing them all I can't figure out what it means.

Hi, the text at the top says 'Fukuoka City Fire Department'.

The other parts seem to say 'Emergency Aid 20' and 'Nakamoto 1' but I'm not sure about the significance of that or if that's the most accurate translation since I'm not familiar with the labelling on emergency vehicles.

- I've been really enjoying the Genshin update so far! I won't spoil anything but I love these darker themes, and what we had to do in the first arc of the archon quest was very fun. I'm also pleasantly surprised by how much I like the characters. As expected Fontaine is beautiful, and there's a certain area that's extremely cool.

- I've been trying to spend a bit less time on social media and honestly I do feel better.

- I have so many books I want to read and games I want to play, I have no idea how I'm gonna find the time to do all of it but I'm feeling very excited about a lot of media.

- It's almost the weekend again! I hope everyone gets to rest and/or do something they enjoy

kind of a short one since it's not even 8am and I'm still tired, but I wanted to say a few things:

☆ shout-out to my camp crew, Actually Nevermind, and all my crewmates! working with you guys made this event way more fun for me than it would've been if it was a solo event like the fairs. even though I couldn't fully get into the event because I've been dealing with personal stuff, I'd say this has been one of my favorite events I've participated in, so ty crew and staff!! ️

☆ I wanted to give a shout-out to a few friends, @xara @Foreverfox and @Shellzilla_515. they've been struggling a lot recently and I've done my very best to console and comfort them, since my friends mean a lot to me and I never want them to feel like they've nowhere to turn when they need someone most. it's a lot of weight to bear, but my desire to help and the incredible joy I feel knowing my love helped brighten their day a bit, completely negates that burden for me. they honestly deserve so much credit, not to mention a break. you guys (and all my other friends who are struggling) are really amazing and I love you
☆ I'm soooo happy that @LittleMissPanda finally got her pinwheel!! it really made her feel so happy and excited and I love to see it can't wait to see what kind of absolutely legendary lineups she makes with it!! ️
☆ after waiting for two and a half months I finally got my passport yesterday!!! I have some trip plans that I'm so so very excited for!!

Mine is a little silly but
-I've had a gross addiction to drinking Monster Energy Drinks every single morning like a coffee, and they made me feel AWFUL..obviously..BUT I've found something that tricks my brain, and it's literally just, having a flavoured sparkling water. I feel so much more awake somehow haha.
-I also got one of the biggest commissions I've ever gotten it's for a pretty big project with a large company and I feel so excited to be a part of that, I hope I can share it soon Im SO ready to talk about it!
-And I know I've said it a million times by now, but camp. I love working in teams and I'll never forget experiences like these!

- Been having some issues w/ my upper wisdom teeth recently (pain so bad I thought I was getting an infection). Managed to get a dentist appointment yesterday and found out all my teeth are healthy, it's just emergence pain from my wisdom teeth. Anyway she was right because today they feel much much better.

-Went in for a workshop and although I didn’t get as much catch up done, I managed to sort more out for my group assignment, we have a clearer idea of our research proposal now.

I’m happy today has been a good day long 12 hour day but good and only 4 hours left. I’m happy tomorrow is my Birthday so last day of work before going on vacation. So excited to have a week off at the beach.
One of my friends at work has the same Birthday as me and our manager got us each a cupcake.
One of our vendors came in today and me and my Birthday buddy each got a hat from her.
I’m happy we are finally getting rain. It has been so long since we had some rain so having rain the last couple of days has been nice.

Due to some public whinging, I received some unexpected tbt donations from Aquilla, Lancelot, and Roxxy. They really shouldn't be rewarding me for bad behavior, but I'm moved that they believe in my wand quest / manifest destiny. And then the wand I bought has a Christmas date on it! It's so beautiful, the world is beautiful, everyone is beautiful, lol. I am almost done being a greedy scrooge.
This holiday season, people better be prepared for some miraculous stuff...
