Who else is ready for Winter to be over?

cant stand the winter, i hate the cold and my hands and eyes get so dry. unfortunately im stuck out there a lot of the time because my siberian husky absolutely loves the snow and i can’t leave him to play alone 🥺

either way i just wish spring would come faster, please, before i get frostbite 😭

I love winter, but...yeah. I want to sleep with my window open again. Plus, it's hard to really get out and do anything with this much snow laying around. Today was pretty warm, and the sun helped melt a decent amount of the snow...but we still have over a foot everywhere, and slush, and ice, and big puddles of water. Can't hike when it's like this, because most of the local trails get flooded really bad. Just starting to feel a bit trapped. Avoided feeling trapped through the entire pandemic, because I could still be outside doing things I enjoy. Finally starting to feel isolated now with all of the snow.

I can't say that I'm ready for Winter to end, but I have to grudgingly accept it nonetheless. I find Spring to be the least interesting of the seasons, and the sooner we enter Spring, the closer we are to my least favorite season of Summer. I prefer nighttime so I enjoy the sun going down earlier in Winter, I tolerate cold temperatures better than heat, and while shoveling the driveway and driving on icy roads isn't fun, I love the look of snow. Spring just means more bugs, more rain, and more storms and I'm not particularly fond of all that.

Our temperatures haven't gotten above 10 degrees( (fahrenheit) in almost a month, and I'm getting really tired of it lol
I can live with the snow, even if I don't like it, but the temperatures are really irritating

Cars are having trouble starting, you can't go outside for longer than a few minutes, we keep getting ice quakes

in other words, yes; I am definitely ready for winter to be over lol

I dreamt of a fever
One that would cure me of this cold winter-set heart
With heat to melt these frozen tears
Burned with reasons as to carry on
Into these twisted months I plunge without a light to follow
But I swear that I would follow anything
Just get me out of here

(Yes. Winter has overstayed its welcome)

Not me. I would like it to last forever. I love winter, it's quiet and beautiful, January is one of my favorite month with October and November, but this year I think it's not cold enough and we don't have much snow. I fear Spring will come sooner and I always hated Spring, in my place it's dirty, noisy, too bright and it always brings bad luck and calamities. Last Spring my best friend died, my childhood friend and my mom almost died too, my cat disappeared, the forest burned, there were floods. It was so much stress, that I forgot about Covid. The year before wasn't better and as far as I remember it was never a good time for me (apart the egg hunt here, hehehe). So I'm sad that winter will end soon, it always feels too short (and I live in Canada in a place where it's common to have snow from October to May...)

I usually love winter and I don't mind being indoors.
However, it's February and my hands are freezing as I type this. I want this to end already.

Omg am I ready for winter to end. It's recently started to snow a lot here and I'm just over the 3-5 snowstorms a week at this point. It's always nice to have some snow around the holidays but once that ends I'm ready for some warmer, greener, weather. We're nearing the end of February so hopefully winter will start to slowly go away soon!

It's finally in the 20s this week! Not getting my hopes up that the weather is going to get warmer cause we usually have a second and sometimes third winter that doesn't really let go until April.

i usually love winter but after the holidays last year i've definitely gotten sick of it. ice and snow is too much for me to handle as a southern texan

God, every year. It's been absolutely hellish where I am recently, I don't think I've seen a positive number (in celsius) temperature-wise in weeks.

I don't mind colder temperatures if they're on the milder side, but tbh the moment it goes below freezing is when I'm out.

I hope it never ends. I love the snow and cold. I hope we go into a second ice age.
Hopefully not in my lifetime. :pppp

I am the same exact way. I love chilly weather. But not when it is below 32 (in Fahrenheit).

I am so ready for it to be warm again. I don't live in a particularly chilly region, but our house is old and we only have a wall furnace so it's just always so cold inside. We also haven't had much rain which is the best part of winter in SoCal. I'm over it!

I was ready for winter to be over the day it started. I hate winter, and I have hated it since experiencing snow for the first time. It’s miserable, and cold, and it hurts to breathe in cold air, but it also sucks to breathe when wearing a mask, so it’s a lose-lose situation.

It’s also bad when you wear glasses, such as myself, and you go from a warm building or car, to outside, where it is maybe 30°F on a good day, and your glasses fog up! I feel even worse for you if your glasses are made of metal, because I can imagine how cold your ears/bridge would be.

Let’s see... ah, right. Again, because COVID, I was already rigorously washing my hands as to not get sick (despite also being a homebody), the cold, dry air makes it worse. On top of that, washing my hands at all in winter really flares up my eczema! Fun! Winter is so great, isn’t it?

More fun, is that, for some magical reason, my hair becomes very dry in winter. And what happens when thick, voluminous hair becomes dry and frizzy? It gathers static like the dickens. It’s only mildly frustrating because I know, for a fact that I used conditioner on this wild mane ‘o mine, and now it’s disobeying me because winter has the driest, most uncomfortable air quality.

How about if you want to go on a walk, omitting how awful it is to breathe? Well, I hope you have thick boots, maybe waterproof or have traction, because if you’re not accidentally stepping on ice (and slipping a bit, and giving yourself a slight sense of “oh god today is the day I slip and die”), you’re likely going to get trapped by a mountain of snow that someone didn’t shovel from the sidewalk, or stepping through slush, which melts on your shoes the moment you come into contact with it. Driving is likely worse, too, since black ice is real and incredibly dangerous! And if you have a smaller car (like a smart car), and you try to go up a steep hill, good luck! You might end up fishtailing (cue sense above^, but in a car, which is objectively worse).

tl;dr — I truly despise winter. The hot cocoa and snuggling are nice, but the cons outweigh the pros for me.
