i didn't assume. i guessed that locket was going to call miller, and said that i felt it would be unlikely for there two be three separate millers before locket claimed. I'm sorry if it was too unclear, but i thought it was be easy to interpret that.

just gonna say that i was looking over the voting thread and last hour of d1 and thought the same thing. all scum hikari had to do was vote u, which would’ve ensured a tie. which irc, in the event of a tie, whoever reached the number first gets lynched and that would’ve been you

It could just be poor wording, but I really don't like the way you're addressing this. This line kind of implies that you know it's a messenger role, either mafia or town sided. The messages themselves are either coming from a Mafia messenger role or a Town inspection role. There is no town messenger that logically would send "_____ is mafia" without inspecting a player first.

So either you didn't word what you're trying to say correctly or you just scum slipped

How can this in any way be a scum slip? It's not obvious obvious, but at this point it's obvious that the messenger is likely aligned with mafia and that this isn't a twice in a row displacement of a successful cop read. Also pushing Evan is pretty silly especially when it's done like this. And yes, I'm hypocritical for calling you pushy when I just gave Bianca an unwarranted push but after more or less leading Rune's lynch I doubt he's scum because there was no reason to bus in that situation unless you valued toads more as a team member but I doubt toads is scum.

Also yes Toads I did defend Rune against Vanessa earlier in the game because I liked his reaction to how I called him out on fluff on the spot but as other behavior began to unfold between those two I switched sides. If I was maf I would have let Toads get lynched and not use the information I had about Rune's lurking to convince Ness to tip the scale of that lynch in his favor with his two votes.

Ugh I find it difficult to think mafia would make some attempt (bold move) to get Locket cleared by sending that message to Bianca on the very first night when it could turn out badly but I don't want to also just accept that Locket wasn't also the reverse psychology attempt, especially when I think about how both glow and Jacob specifically pointed out that this was probably a fake frame, particularly because it was Bianca of all the players to choose. And then you turn around and you have the most logical person to send the message to last night. I'm bringing this back up against glow and Jacob because they seemed to specifically bring into discussion the choice of person the message was sent to (Bianca) and then last night's choice was absolutely deliberate.

Right, I get where u come from. I agree that the messenger is likely aligned with mafia and I've expressed that in the thread myself.

I actually tried writing an explanation just now for why that could've been a scum slip, but I cut it all because it's confusing even for myself to write/read. The simplest way I can explain it is that what he wrote wasn't really a logical scenario, and as mafia it wouldn't be that difficult to slip up when referring to a role that could possibly be multiple roles, especially if the role he assumed was in play ("The messenger") is a strictly mafia role.

So basically you're saying the scenario he brought up can't be logical but all I can find in terms of what you are referring to is that the waffles thing was a mafia maneuver because no inspecting role has yet to come forth and somehow that's a scum slip because he made an assumption about the role? Because multiple people have been presenting similar thoughts, including myself. But yeah I'm probably confused as to what you're trying to get at so maybe that stuff you cut before posting would clarify it more. Idc if your case could be confusing, I like any and all cases put forth because it gives a read on the person that built it. And right now you don't look too great to me.

I still fail to see it as being all that weirdly worded either. Also trying to act calm and levelheaded about things seems forced ijs.

I know people are going to see me as being back on my bull**** but I think it's a Rune/Locket/glow/Jacob team.

i think ik what ur trying to say.

is that most people have been saying something like “the oracle should out” or “if the oracle doesn’t out” (or insert cop in place of oracle) but evan used “messenger” when it seems like he’s talking about an investigative role

so i guess jacob thinks that’s a slip

Okay now I can clearly see what he meant with it explained that way. But meh I'm gonna sound like I'm overdefending Evan at this point (and I am tbh) but the messenger can also be an umbrella term for whoever is responsible for the ____ is mafia messages, may that be a investigative role or a plain old messenger. I'm not going to just let somebody lynch a player over a post that is only debatable in terms of whether or not it was a slip. I've done this as mafia before and successfully gotten a mislynch out of it.

I've stated before this phase that the messages could be coming from an oracle and that they need to out themselves. When I wrote that post I was simply using "messenger" as a shorthand way of referring to whoever is sending these messages or getting these results. If I knew anything more about the role of who's sending the messages/planting the reports, I'd love to share it lol. But I don't

I am concerned about the lack of resistance to a waffles lynch; maybe scum thinks it's too risky to defend her? Or if she really is Vanilla then scum knows it's easy to blend in by going with the flow...argh I have no reason to believe Waffles though. She's not even defending herself. tbh resignation isn't too alignment indicative as both sides can do it.
