Bubble Tea is LIFE.
Where I come from, you have to be careful about "authenticiy". Major cities, of cities with dense Asian populations have a greater chance of serving "Authentic" (non-powder") bubble tea. But where I moved to now, though there are a few bubble tea places, all of them are powder, and I will take what I can get. Still, I adore tapioca in my bubble tea, most people hate it. I usually double it, actually. The place I go to serves other drinks like Calpis (yogurt milkshake), and slushies and Milkshakes including an avocado milkshake made with a whole REAL avocado. SO GOOD. They have popping bubble and jellies too. The typical flavoured green/black teas and milk teas. Plus authentic Kanto Cooking and dumplings and other foods and snacks. Years ago, under another owner they have "all you can drink" which my boyfriend and I totally took advantage of, haha. But now they are expanding to a full-fledged restaurant.
