Joe Biden is the 46th president of the United States

My family is already ranting about how this country is going to go downhill now because of this. Went to a flea market today and everyone seems ticked about it. I just keep my mouth shut to keep the peace but come on. The election went fair and square. And so long on your 60 year winning streak Ohio. You deserved it. 😐
The good thing about being in the middle of a pandemic is that the Trump supporters can't see my smug grin through my mask.

While I didn’t vote (I really should have looking back on things now), I’m happy that Trump is going to be out of office. My family remarked not too long ago that they would be moving to Canada or somewhere else if Trump won. Whether it was a joke or not, it really was music to my ears. I think this is a step in the right direction for the nation and I look forward to seeing what Biden brings to the table.

I love Ohio but sometimes my home state disappoints me lmao

Same here. My state's turning redder all the time and I live in one of the deepest red areas of it. I don't think a single Dem won anything in my county. We used to be a swing state but not anymore. No more "purple" Ohio.

ok firstly the overwhelming relief/happiness from nearly everyone on this thread makes my heart warm

but i just wanna say that i am extremely relieved. trump never deserved to be president and he made a mockery of the position while he held it. i live in a red state and most of my family is conservative so no one around me feels my joy and i cant really express it, but im still very happy.

im also praying for the safety of any poc and lgbtq folks in the coming days. pls stay safe ya'll and try to stay inside as much as you can for the next while just in case <3

I couldn't have said it any better myself! I was also the only Biden supporter in my family and I am so relieved and happy!

Again, stay safe, ya'll! ❤

You know with all the hype surrounding Georgia flipping, I totally forgot about that. Wasn't Trump's COVID case only days after the debate in Cleveland?
it was. I mean he literally attended the debate in Cleveland and then all of a sudden he has COVID. yo be fair, he was also holding a bunch of rallies and completely dismissing COVID guidelines in doing so, so he kinda had it coming.

yeah my county was red through the whole thing. it's like Columbus was blue, but the further I went towards home the more Trump signs I saw. it's prob no coincidence that the city I (or should I say, my parents) live in has a high crime rate and a high amount of drug users/dealers.

I'm american living overseas (moved over a decade ago) and I personally am relieved because I don't like trump but my parents (esp my dad) are very adamant about the fact that they think biden only won due to voting fraud and are fully expecting multiple court cases to overturn the election results so I'm not completely sure I can relax just yet

My point was though that there were people in Ohio who worked at the debate location who got COVID directly from Dolt 45 himself. And then the state still voted for him. Every COVID death is on Trump because he threw out Obama's pandemic playbook, but imagine being sick and having to pay medical bills or god forbid losing your life or a loved one and knowing that you were infected directly by the president himself, during a debate where he mocked his opponent for wearing proper PPE no less. Sickening.

oh wow I didn't know about that. how despicable.

@meo that's fair. I only phrased it that way because so many people in my life didn't take me seriously. They thought it was just all talk. Then, after I unpacked my stuff in my new place across the ocean very publicly on social media and a few months passed by, I slowly started getting a strain of messages from various people who told me they thought I was joking.

ah it's about time the nutjob celebrity was pulled away from his delusions! can't believe there's still a huge portion of people out there who were willing to hand him (basically) unlimited power...

anyway i hope my vote helped tip the PA scale, even if i have no idea if my ballot actually arrived lOl (no online tracking for overseas ballots)

I am concerned about the fight Trump will put up over the next few months, but I trust that the ballots were all legal and I have to hope that the courts will not let him get away with calling voter fraud and throwing a temper tantrum over nothing.

I hope Trump learns from reality. He may get to become president, but he has done a terrible job. And if you a terrible job as president, you don’t deserve another term. While Bush and Obama did a lot of things I do not approve of, even they didn’t mishandle crises like how Trump did. This includes:

- Not properly handling the Charlottesville Attack, failing to condemn the Alt-Right when they started the protests and did the drive-in attack.
- Separating children from their parents at the border.
- Downplaying COVID-19 when it’s way worse than smallpox.
- Sending the military to shoot at protesters.

Not to mention, but all these offensive tweets and offensive comments.

And yet, he thinks he’s the best president ever, knowing what he did. Sounds more like the worst president ever. Which is why he lost this election. But he wouldn’t accept the results. Instead, he’s trying to challenge the results. This sounds like he’s becoming a dictator. If this goes to the Supreme Court again, I hope they declare him ineligible to run for president again. He’s not even a true conservative. Just some attention whore who acts like a god.

I may be a solid conservative (and have supported some of his actions that any conservative would’ve done like standing up to socialism and nominating the three SCOTUS justices he picked), but even I have accepted the election results and want Trump to concede. Most conservatives on the other hand...

I didn't like both of them, but I guess he's the lesser of evils. I'm just glad Cheeto is out of the office
