Oh if you want a female you should be sure of having a male pokemon in the lead with the ability cute charm to be able to attract female pokemon more.

In my entire lifetime of playing Pokemon, I've only come across one shiny. I was playing Sapphire as a kid under a blanket and it was like 2 in the morning when I saw a green Marill. This was a time before I even knew what shinies were... so I just ran away and thought I was seeing things because it was so late.

The route where Eevee can be found has Skitty and it can have Cute Charm.

Oh yeah both Clefairy and Skitty can be both Male and Female.

I've gotten a ton of shiny Pok?mon myself and while it's true that you've done a ton of encounters, when you compare it to the odds it's actually not that many... From my Dexnav experiences I've gotten shinies as early as 10 encounters but there were also Pok?mon that took me well over 2000 (ugh Tympole).

I do have a Sylveon but it's a female so it won't help much. I managed to catch a male Skitty with cute charm so it's all good now.

Yeah I was actually pretty surprised to find a shiny Absol at search level 564. I feel like with Eevee it'll take long but who knows?

Also I don't think I'd have the patience to get 8 shiny eevees lol
I wouldn't even bother with leafeon cause there's like no difference at all there ^^"

I'm on search level 561 with Eevee and still no shiny... hopefully she turns up soon.

My first attempt at shiny hatching only ended up taking about 74 eggs- Mimikyu, with shiny charm, in Pokemon Sun. I so far haven't had any super intense shiny hatching or hunting adventures, but ultimately, getting that shiny Pokemon in the end is always worth it, and I think the longer you go without being able to get it, it's even more exciting when you finally do.

My first ever experience when it comes to shiny hunting in Pokemon is for the shiny surf Pikachu you get in USUM
after placing 1st place in all 4 of the Mantine surfing rank.. took me 3 days of SR, but it finally came through! ;w; <3 was so close on wanting to toss my DS (joking ofc.. lol)

I got my search level up to about 685 with Eevee and kinda gave up for now.
But I'll get back to it, idk maybe in a few weeks. My patience sucks with this kinda thing rip

Do you keep track of the calls yourself or is there a way to see how many are chained up?

I don't think there is an actual way to check the quantity of SOS calls, but whenever I'm chaining, I count my calls by looking at how many PP/attack moves I've used (since you're supposed to one-shot the called pokemon) ^^

I draw tally marks on the back of the nearest receipt/train ticket/scrap paper/etc. Although I only do this for certain methods - e.g. radar, SOS.
