The Anime Thread

I want to like Dandadan but it moves kinda slowly. Maybe it's not for me, I'd like to see more interactions with the rest of the world lol

I finished My Deer Friend Nokotan today and it was such a fun anime, I'm gonna miss it deerly. (haha)

I might watch JJK season 2 next, I'm undecided what I wanna do.

It's been a bit since I've watched anything, I still gotta finish fire force which I started and got pretty far into it but haven't finished for some reason lol. I'm still salty that I'll never get to see the Yuri on ice movie since they cancelled it awhile back, Yuri on ice will always have a special place in my heart <3 I'm SUPER excited because "Go for it! Nakamura" is supposed to be getting an anime and I ADORE the manga, it's also supposed to get more manga! I literally cannot wait, I'm so freaking excited!!!

Oh gosh I love Fire Force, but I've been in Fire Force season 3 waiting room for like.... centuries now. 💀

Apparently season 3 is coming in April 2025 though, so we'll see, lol.

I watched a few more episodes of Samurai Champloo last night. I'm on episode 4 or 5 now, and I have to say I'm REALLY loving this series so far. The dynamic between Mugen and Jin is great and I honestly can't wait to watch more. 🤩

How is everyone watching anime? Crunchyroll is the only anime streaming platform I'm aware of. I had the free trial, actually. I know of Netflix, but there isn't much variety on it, I don't think?

I'm back to old dvds and youtube again.

I'm aware of Hidive owned by Sentai Filmworks, Disney+ has some from the Hulu deal. I never looked into Retro Crush, but they might still exist.

When I want to get subbed Pocket Monsters 2024 episodes, I just boot up the Tor browser. That's all I'm going to say because if I go into more detail I'll be banned, lol. If you're not into piracy, then I wouldn't recommend it.

i'm on the slayers premium movie now

In the spirit of Halloween, I've started watching Uzumaki. The first episode was very good. I like the style a lot.

Crunchyroll is my main source for anime. Since they merged with Funimation, the only other dedicated anime streaming site I'm aware of is Hi-Dive. You can find anime scattered across most other streaming services, but the selection is usually more limited.

I found a video talking about how the Eureka Seven newer releases are crap. I haven't even seen the movie.

One comment in there got my attention: "The secret is to pretend it doesn't exist. There was no FLCL followup, there was no promise neverland season 2, there was no Tokyo ghoul season 2."

I wasn't aware the FLCL reboot was received poorly.

It's time to continue to ascend the tower! Tower of God season two... is here! 🪜

Wangnan and Khun resolve to save Prince and Miseng from the clutches of the puppet user of Shibisu's team. Meanwhile, Shibisu comes into direct contact with Viole. At first Shibisu uses clever strategy to back Viole into a corner, but Viole powers up for a bit to turn the tides. Shibisu decides to retreat with his team and board the Archimedes. Viole and everyone else does the same.

But back down where Endorsi and the robot appeared, Endorsi catches the mysterious man known as "The Traveler." And there she finds out a deep, dark secret... namely that Jyu Viole Grace IS the 25th Baam.

Next time on Tower of God season two, episode seventeen. "F U N K Y!" You won't want to miss it! (y)

Just finished it and yeah I agree it looked good. I don't get why there have been so many complaints about the animation. The pacing felt a bit rushed though. Can't believe they managed to fit the whole thing in just 4 episodes. I think they could've slowed down the events some without deviating from the manga too much. But overall it was decent enough for a quick creepy story. You might like the previous Junji Ito series if you like that one.

Also watching Dandadan and that is some crazy animation. Kinda reminds me of Jujutsu Kaisen mixed with FLCL. The recent episode 4 was the best one so far. Here have this weird music video of the OP I found

I just remembered Disney+ finally got season two of Dr. Stone right before I got kicked off. I still think I'd prefer that one one dvd even if it is over priced for half a season. Thanks Funimation.
