i haven’t been watching a lot as of recently, but !!!! i’ve been reading welcome to demon school iruma-kun and i’m having a blast with the manga - i can’t wait for it to be animated ✧⁺⸜(･ ᗜ ･ )⸝⁺✧

I saw two seasons available on Disney plus, when I had access to it. I would have watched it if I wasn't prioritizing Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Miraculous Ladybug.

Just finished episode seven of Samurai Champloo and it was pretty good (yes I know I'm going slow with this compared to my usual pace, just been busy).

Why they gotta do my man Shinsuke like that though... dude was just trying to heal his mom. (but if we're being real, I'm guessing there's a lot more death as the series goes on, lol).

I've been considering watching an anime I found called Land of the Lustrous. The concept seems very interesting to me, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Up to episode 10 of Samurai Champloo now. Episode nine was uh, really something, lol (that one part where Mugen was fighting the head rebel leader dude and it just kind of cut to trippy colors made me do a double take ).

It's time to continue to ascend the tower! Tower of God season two... is here!

Spoiler: for Tower of God S2E19, ALL IN

Ran and Anaak begin their duel. Ran eats a Lightning Pill, which increases his strength by a lot for five minutes. He uses this newfound power to push Anaak Jahad to the brink. Just as their duel is about to reach the ultimate climax, however, Paracule interferes from the water.

Meanwhile, Viole/Baam meets with the mysterious man known as Beta and learns some interesting information from him. Hatz meets up with Lero Ro to try and put a stop to the creation of the weapon Emily.

Since Ran dropped out, only two gamblers remain, but the hosts propose a new set of battles known as the Development Tournament. The tournament will decide who gets to face either Team Mad Dog or Team FUG in the finals and who will win the Workshop Battle. Khun proposes to send Wangnan first. Meanwhile, Rak infiltrates the building where the FUG members are staying to reunite with Viole/Baam...

Next time on Tower of God season two, episode twenty. "Like a Flame in the Wind." You won't want to miss it!

We are watching the new Spice & Wolf - merchant meets wise wolf anime right now. I watched the old Spice & Wolf back in the day (like ten years ago).

I like the new anime, but the direction is a bit lacking or flat, which is highlighted to me in the more emotional scenes. I feel like the scenes could hit a lot harder if the scenes were directed (camera angle, movement, cuts) better. It makes me wish they got someone from Studio Shaft on the team to nudge them into some more inspired choices.

then after that, i'm back to slayers eng sub again... for the reason i said before ... cause i want to find a certain line that gourry said in s1...i'm sure he said it... . but then i'll most likely find myself go round again while i'm doing that ^^
again, what can i really say? it's the type of anime that i can watch without it getting old

i think Venus Terzo does a better english female ranma voice... from eps. 7 to 161, & OVAs, films ) i mean, Brigitta Dau is fine, but i think i prefer venus terzo in english

We finished Spice & Wolf - merchant meets wise wolf. I think that the direction is fine most of the time, there were are a few specific scenes however that I had some issues with. I'm glad that they aren't skipping stuff this time around. I checked and the old adaption skipped over the entirety of book 4, which the current anime ended on. I'm looking forward to the second season and new adventures! Hopefully in 2025, but I'm worried it might take until 2026.

Today I watched the Spy x Family movie Code: White. I love that it didn't feel out of place at all, which is my issue with a lot of anime movies. They have a tendency to feel like one-shots that don't quite fit in with the series as a whole. However, Code: White was just like a longer episode of the show. If you enjoy the series, I highly recommend the movie. There are some great moments for all the characters.

I'm going through some old boxes. I found some glossy ads for Sasami Magical Girls Club, KamiChu, Kannazuki No Miko, Destiny of Shrine Maiden. I want to look these up when I have time.

Also old geocities printouts of Escaflowne movie stuff from around 2000. The movie is crap, but a few of the characters look good in it.
