What was your highlight of the direct?

We got so much new and exciting information from the direct today, but what were your personal favourite things we found out about or learned more about?

Mine were definitely the new NPCs, seeing the museum and my best girl Celeste showing up! <3

Seeing the low-key confirmation of the character increase for naming our towns. "Nintenland"? Looks like we're potentially getting at least ten to work with!

My favourite part was by far the museum. I want to put my tent in it and just live there. The terrain customisation had me shaking. Basically the overall customisation we have over our islands, even moving houses and shops. I'm also SO excited for the music. It sounds so good and I can't wait to just listen to it for hours.

1. the museum - the exhibits are absolutely breathtaking and i’m so stunned by it.
2. island landscaping - the options are more than i thought they would be to the part where it’s almost overwhelming but i’m still so excited!!
3. the new npcs - getting to see the new npcs and learning their names was great
4. isabelle - it was wonderful to see my girl again c’:
5. qr codes - so excited!!
6. the campsite - i wasn’t sure if the campsite (pwp) would be making its return and i’m glad it is!
7. dodo’s mystery island tours - looks super neat!

Definitely the Museum. It's been my favorite building throughout all the games, and it looks amazing in New Horizons. Now I know where I will be spending all my time to begin with.

There were several wow moments for me but I'd have to say transforming the island, choosing where to play everything including villagers and shops, and the museum. That museum is gorgeous! I just want to sit with the butterflies.

The museum and interior of homes/furniture looks AMAZING. Such higher quality than we are used to and its amazing!!!!!

The museum looked incredible and I'm so excited to fill it up with fossils and other collectibles! I believe we didn't see any paintings in the direct, so I wonder if they're still a thing. I was also surprised by the ability to terraform, I wasn't expecting Nintendo to give us so much creative freedom!

I would say just seeing past buildings (museum, able sisters, etc) I was worried for some reason that they would rid of those or change them into something else and I'm so glad to see we're going to have them. Also, the museum is beautiful!

The first part of the direct where they explain what to expect when you choose a map, then have an orientation meeting with Tom Nook, settle in, chose a sport for your tent and your neighbours' tents...

Just how good everything looks. As others have said, the Museum is amazing. The details on that shark caught my eye especially...like all the fish and bugs did throughout the video. Just beautiful.

They've given us everything I could every ask for in an Animal Crossing game.

I've seen the direct only once, but those 4 of the most insanely amazing things from the whole direct!

Getting to see more furniture outdoors, how easy it is to place, and of course town sculpting. New Leaf was a fantastic game, but I never did get the full use of the outdoor furniture style PWPs because they were just so clunky to add. This game looks like it fixes that and now it is like placing furniture indoors!
