Do you care if your presents are a surprise?

both, i love the surprise when my parents try to buy stuff based on my interests, but at the same time we both like it when i tell them specific things i want.

I would prefer to have it a surprise. Thou I have had times when they arent. In past years I would give my parents a list, but now that I'm older I don't do that anymore. My parent usually give us money which I'm completely fine with.

My family, esp my sister, have a pretty good idea on what I like. I mean get me some 3DS XL Nintendo skins and I'm good. Nintendo is a big interest of mine, so that narrows the search pretty well. I also like crafty stuff so there's that too.

not really. i rather know im getting something that i want than something that i don't like and have to fake that i like it in front of family (which is the worst bc i suck at hiding inner emotion), over the years ive slowly known what ive gotten for christmas more and more because i usually want clothes but im super picky so people can't shop without me or ill probably get something i don't like then we have to go through the whole process of returning.. yadayada. surprises are nice but i do like to know what i get

I think sentimental gifts are cuter as a surprise, but if you got me like a normal monetary gift, I wouldn’t mind being told beforehand.

Also gift giving is expensive can we just stop that pls

I'm kinda in between. In some cases, I already know what presents I'm going to get because I asked for it so no surprise there. However, at the same time, I miss those times when you really don't know what you're going to get for the holidays. Sure, it may be something that you don't want but I like the anticipation whether it's something you wanted or not.

Yes, but as an adult trying to gift to a loved one it's almost impossible to surprise them with the things they really want. I have to rely on small things to surprise now.

I absolutely love being surprised by gifts, so I don't like to know what the gift is beforehand. I get pretty upset if I accidentally fond out what the gift is before I can open it, but it's not a huge deal.

I rarely ever get the things I asked for at Christmas time, but when I do get them I can usually tell of a gift is what I asked for.

this ugh, i hate when they also ask what i want yet they give em crap they know i won't use like .-. pls no

i don't really mind, honestly. i'm indifferent.
sure, the element of surprise and not knowing what you're gonna get is fun, i guess, but i'd also rather just know what the present is so i don't get disappointed in the moment lmao

I don't really mind if I know what I'm going to get as a present in advance. I'll just end up looking forward to it more since I know I'm getting something I like. :) Even though I like picking presents myself, I don't mind surprises either, they're cool too.

My room mate was like that. He likes thoughtful/sentimental gifts that are a secret until the day it's opened (needs to be wrapped and everything). But everyone else in the house (me and his girlfriend) like practical gifts so we always tell each other what we were getting for each other, or buy it on the spot when we're out together. The two of us would brainstorm his gift together and pretend that we did it on our own :'D

I don't care how other people do it, but when I give a present, I love to see the reaction, so if it's from me, it has got to be a surprise. Same goes the other way around, I love to open the wrapping, maybe even more than getting whatever I get, lol.

I would rather it to be a surprise but sometimes I do pick out a thing and my mom said "your getting this for christmas".
So yeah if I pick something out I have to wait till christmas and when I open it of course I'm not even surprise cause I chosen the gift out for myself.
But surprises are better to me.

I don't care at all if I know what my presents are. I usually end up picking them out myself. I collect Hello Kitty stuff, and that's mostly what people buy for me, but I have such an extensive collection that I started getting so many doubles gifted to me. That's why I started picking stuff out myself. I don't see a problem with someone picking out their own present. At least they'll like it for sure.

Not really after all its the thought that counts, usually if theres something I want I just go and buy it when I can.

Eh, not really. Most of the time, I knew what I would get. Otherwise, I don't mind to get surprised.
