I love both my parents, but mom and I are closer because can relate more to each other since we have similar attitutes. Dad, on the other hand, is super nice and super smart and super hard-working and he's there to catch me when I'm trying to run away from Mom when she's mad. x) They both put so much effort into taking care of me (since I'm an only child) so yeah. I'm so lucky to have them, sometimes I can't believe I studied in a University hundreds of kilometers away from them. ; v;
Also wow this poll made me realize how lucky I am that my parents are still happily together (ever since college!!!). Oh my god I'm crying, they're both awesome and cool and sweet and aaa.

I don't get along with my father at all, and my mother passed away when I was just 10. I miss her very much though, and sometimes I wonder about how different my life would have been if she hadn't passed away...

no, my mom and i have a really crap relationship and even as a child i always knew that if my parents ever separated i'd have gone to live with my dad without question

I love my parents equally but I think it's perfectly normal to be closer to one than to the other. It doesn't mean you love them any less!

I love both of my parents unconditionally, but I spend more time with my mother and I share more of my interests with my father.

My parents are divorced and i haven't seen my dad in awhile but i still love them the same:)

my mom knows me better and is way more generous
i've always wanted a dad that was cool and someone i could respect and admire :/

I voted that I'm closer with my dad. I used to be closer with my mom, but recently the relationship with my mom has become strained. My mom is so quick to snap at me and whenever I try to talk to her about anything serious she gets angry. Things with my dad aren't exactly great, but they aren't like that.
I honestly don't really like my parents much, but most recent issues have been with my mom.

I love my parents the same, and have equal but different types of a bond with each of them.

I guess my Dad; we're fairly close. I barely speak to my mother anymore, unfortunately.

i love them equally. without the type of discipline they used, i would have turned out to be one ****ed up person

I love my mom more, definitely. When I was growing up, my dad was always at work, and when he was home we fought like cats and dogs since we have really different personalities. Our relationship is a lot better now that've grown up and moved away, but I still prefer my mom usually.

I tend to spend more time with my Mom since my dad is usually busy or away ever since I was young so all my time has been with my mom and such. Though I do like them both equally just seems like I'm more familiar with my mom more xD

I prefer my mom way more. My biological dad was hardly around until I gave him a chance to re-establish our relationship but it didn't work out so we no longer talk. My stepdad used to be amazing but we have a very strained relationship now. We're lucky to talk on holidays. Even though my mom and I often don't get along, at least she cares.

My dad I feel like never liked me because I didn't become the model son whose all about sports and stuff.... but whatever I don't really care because he never really seemed interested in my life... I mean I appreciate him financially supporting me through college, but theres way more to being a parent than that

I have 2 amazing parents that I love equally and I am thankful for them everyday of my life. My dad worked so hard so my mom could stay home to raise my sister and I, and after 25 years he still does.

I feel closer to my mom because she was always there at home, but I fully appreciate the time my dad devotes to his job because without him we would have nothing. Both of my parents are equally important in my life and I love them more than anything in the universe.
