Probably to avoid people choosing one mushroom, getting lucky with the transformation, and then getting a large amount of event currency. I think staff want us to be forced to actually use logic to figure out the status of all the mushrooms in order to get a full lineup of safe/helpful ones.

I haven't really looked over the shop mushrooms too thoroughly, but some of them are funny looking. It kinda looks like a trilobite.
