Cute deer makeup inspired by Fauna! (featuring all two of my right brain cells)
I love the deer villagers so much, I had to limit myself to Diana and Deirdre to make room for other species. If I could have an eleventh villager, it would be Fauna. I love the little dots on the back of her head, they remind me of this look I've always wanted to try for Halloween. Contouring and digital art are both skills I don't have, so I'm happy this turned out half-decent and I had a lot of fun experimenting with something new!

Sorry for all the endless questions I've been asking on various challenges... but if I may ask another before I embark on this challenge:

Are we allowed to use multimedia/collage elements if we hand-draw the line art? (eg. glitter, stickers, decoupage)

I know that the rules state that we're not allowed to use artistry that isn't our own work, but I wonder how the line would be drawn with art materials. My guess would be that glitter would be allowed but something like stickers/decoupage wouldn't be allowed because the base art of that sticker/paper used for decoupage was made by someone else?

Read through the other comments after making this post, and I've answered my own question lol. I'll leave the answer here for posterity, since it's pretty hard to load all the pictures.

As long as the piece was made by you, and as long as it's within reason, it's fine. (eg. the use of glitter on the side of face to make mermaid scales would be fine).

My makeup inspiration is Raymond, I did a smokey grey eyeshadow with a cat eye eyeliner look. I picked a deep nude berry color for the lips and a small amount of blush. Raymond is a smug serious fellow so I went with a cool color palette, and the cat eye to represent his felineness. I channeled Raymond's seriousness by not smiling in the photo but in real life I smile all the time. I am also wearing grey cat ears, a dress shirt, tie, and vest similar to what Raymond wears.

This may be a dumb question but is third party art render essentially someone else's work or is it a specific art tool for certain programs? I don't normally do digital stuff and wanna color this linework with a drawing program on my phone. Thanks!

Art tools to color would be fine as long as they’re within reason (e.g.: you may want to avoid flower-patterned or border art brushes) as they are a specific design and you could theoretically create a look with a few clicks, which wouldn’t be fair!

Third-party art renders would be if you took renders of official art work and scaled them down or traced over them for your submission. For example, let’s say you‘re doing a June-inspired look and find a nice render of flowers. We wouldn’t allow you to take and use that for your submission as it’s not your work. You would want to draw flowers yourself.

Here's my entry. The look is inspired by one of my favorite snooty cats in the game, Monique. Originally, I wanted to pick a look based of Audie, however, I got more ideas with Monique as a template (also, the first try with the Audie look failed horrible, lol). I tried to recreate her face as best as I could, also gave her some jewelry based of her default outfit she wears now in New Horizons. One of my earlier ideas was to gave her some sort of accessories based of her grape tee she had in the previous titles along with cat ears, however, I thought it would work better this way.

This is inspired by Ken! Love the colors choice too. I really want to make it really look like Ken, so I added blue markings on her face (Even though it looks like a bruise). And I think Ken is unique, so so is she. Kinda regret the lips, it's too thick

sO i wasn’t planning on entering this but my monkey brain went tEeHeE mAkEuP so,, here i am lmao. this look was inspired by meow & bow - they haven’t been a part of the series in years but regardless, they’re two of my favourite villagers. and also, i figured they’d match the theme, since they’ll
likely only come back “in my dreams”

this look was inspired by bow & meow; since their designs are so similar and they’re often paired together, i decided to do an eye look based on them both, rather than just one. my left eye was designed around meow and i used pinks and greens to match her colour palette. for my right eye, i used greens, greenish yellow tones and gold to represent bow. they’re 2 of my favourite villagers and having them come back would be a Dream come true, which i think fits the theme, ironically

also, if we could pretend that i’m not ugly, that’d be great lmaoo

My makeup look is inspired by the lovely sparkle cub, Judy. I used a couple different palettes to make this look but the blue eyeshadow and glittery blush came from the Too Faced Beauty Daydreamer palette. I decided to do a look based on my favorite wine aunt, Claudia. I don't know anything about make-up so I decided to keep it simple since I wasn't sure when make-up turns in to face paint, haha. The heart is supposed to be a jewel of some sort. I like how especially on Claudia the tiger stripes on the forehead look like hearts so that inspired it.

Also don't call me a traitor for not making a Pietro based one.. I already saw so many beautiful Pietro looks that I decided to make something different.

I decided to take inspiration from Lucky, the coolest dog around. While Lucky has a very simplistic design, he still ends up being a very memorable character and I really appreciate that about him. Therefore, I wanted to give my character the same feel. Finally, I decided to change some of the color schemes around, (like making the bandages black instead of white). This was done to give my character a little bit more of a unique design, while still matching the characteristics of Lucky as a whole, going so far as to even include the dog ears as well.

i tried drawing pietro. it would have been low key cool if i didnt draw it like a 3 year old but!!!!!!! hey. i tried. he's got that nice, shiny nose going on. the teardrop. even some fur. u know he's funky like that.

The inspiration is taken from (obviously) Pietro's face and design. I decided to copy it step by step because I like the way he looks.The only (intentional) way the look differs from Pietro's is the lack of white face, I decided I didn't like the look of that because it looked too much like a ghost. Other than that I tried to copy as well as I could but with the corresponding human parts of the face rather than that of a sheep!

My cosmetic piece was inspired by the lovely Sanrio collab. villager, Etoile! Her name translated from French means "Star" which gave her this constellation look. I was also inspired by amazing artist Qinni who continues to inspire not just me, but thousands of people around the world. She's very well known for her amazing watercolors and costellations. I added little curls in the hair so it'd look wooly like Etoile since she's a sheep. I miss Etoile and I hope she returns to ACNH!

This look is inspired on "a visit from Celeste on a day with clear sky & shooting stars"! Celeste is probably my favourite NPC. I loved visiting her camper in New Leaf and I love her nighttime visits in New Horizons. As she's always star gazing I decided to do a galaxy inspired blush featuring constellations and a dark gradient hair colour inspired by the beautiful clear night skies when she visits during meteor showers. The look is completed with a strong Celeste brow and a bold yellow lipstick. ​
