Mysteries of the Monolith - Ended!

Just wow. I think I put in every single super mario world character there is. I must habe misstyped something. That’s just so sad I know that I entered many chuck variants…

Why can I see HD details on a sprite mirror? Why does it look like it has fins? Why does there have to be a colour hint for a character that shows up with blue instead of green in many appearances? Why Laudine?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

For a while I was convinced it HAD to be Little Buddy from Splatoon 3- They have different hairstyles, fins, and I kept seeing big, bulbous eyes in the image...

I entered every Pokémon with different forms. I entered every Villager that was vaguely red, yellow, and/or green.

For fun, here is a list of all the series I went through the wikis for and inputted EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER listed, because I had given up trying to go by the actual mirror or hints:

• All Animal Crossing NPCs
• The Entire Smash Ultimate Roster
• Every Splatoon Character
• Every ARMS Character
• Every Rhythm Heaven Character

I should've started with the Mario wiki instead of something like Rhythm Heaven... What was I thinking?!!? The music hint pointed me towards entering every single Super Mario World character and that's when I finally got it

I am going to beat up every single Chargin' Chuck I see from now until eternity.

I’ve been out all day so I’ve only just seen the solution! A lot for me to unpack here.

Firstly, I traced these inaccurate monstrosities (I even knew the colours were a clue, and it didn’t fully click)

Then I read this “clue”, and Googled “Nintendo character that throws rocks”.

Literally, it hits you.

The monolith has quite literally chucked a rock at you.

11 PM was an opportune time as any to plug in the electric keyboard for the real clue. Had no idea what it was (other than clearly Mario-related), and gave up. I have no idea who Chargin’ Chuck is! My best guess was Cheep Cheep, but I actually did try all the Koopas I knew of!

Appreciate the extra clues, and glad they helped someone!

Glad I wasn't the only one who was led astray down this path!

I enjoyed the music clue =) I especially love the folks that used the town tune tool to play it!

I also got stuck on thinking it was some sort of a bird. I was convinced it was Swablu for quite a while=) Then when the music clue came out, I think I googled every type of bird-like creature in Mario and tried all of them.
It's so hard to unsee something once you've already seen it and try to go down a different path. Maybe with infinite time I would have eventually brute-forced that character name, but I'm pretty convinced I'll never get any of these mirrors, so it's just sort of fun seeing everyone else's struggles and guesses too!

In all of my searches, I don't even think that character came up which is frustrating considering how long I was searching for. Also, I thought I figured out which game the song was from, but it turns out I was wrong So yeah, I totally failed this round. I don’t have much hope for myself for the final round but I’m still looking forward to it! (I think)

I'm not even sure if I know where the character is in that image. Based on where I think the character is, I do have an initial thought... probably a very stupid and wrong thought though
