it's like, not my best work but i promise there was an attempt.

anyway, this one's inspired by the brightest squirrel in the game, caroline. i gave her alot of red blush to draw the connection to her really red fur. her lipstick, eyebrows, and hair are based off her main colors, red and yellow. her hair is dominated by yellow because that's her actual hair color in the game. i gave her a cute lil' wacom stylus (above her ear) because her interior in ACNH is based off a manga/comic artist studio and i thought it would be fitting.

fun fact; i've never applied make up to myself like ever. the one time someone did it for me was a girl in real life fittingly named caroline lol.

I chose Cleo as the inspiration behind as she is one of my favourite villagers. I picked colours from her main palette which is purple. i added a flower face paint as her tshirt she wore in new leaf had flower prints. Overall i went for an extravagant look given that Cleo is a snooty and i thought she would appreciate this.
but i probably did extreme injustice to her with this lol

I did judy cause her design is rly pretty I know nothing about makeup but I tried lol
I love the colors judy’s design has so I tried to add all of them. I added some little stars on her cheeks since her poster has a starry theme and I wanted to add something small ^^. Since her design is mainly pink and blue I made the makeup a light purple so it would still have other colors besides her main colors.

My entry is based on my favorite villager Static. I put his purple and yellow colors in the hair. I also had to add a lightning bolt similar to Static's hairstyle.

Here is my Reese-inspired look! I think it turned out alright.
The inspiration for my look is Reese! and also the wedding event from New Horizons. I had the event in mind as I was making the look, so I wanted it to be classy and simple. I think Reese is one of the more underrated NPCs but I loved her in New Leaf so I hope she makes more of an appearance at some point in New Horizons.

Here's my entry! Have no knowledge whatsoever on makeup but I love how this turned out! This was inspired by Merengue. I tried to match her color scheme to the eyes and blush. Also made her nose more reddish similar to her strawberry horn.

Inspired by the sky’s of animal crossing games, New Horizons’s views really caught my attention and started my idea because of the gorgeous colours!!

In older games I always loved seeing the constellations after the sunset (a feature I wish they would bring back!!), so I also wanted to include some kind of way to represent Celeste as well as the starry sky.

With a combination of all this I thought using the star wand would be a good way to represent both! It’s kind of celestial and whimsical like Celeste herself as well as like the sky. I of course had to pop in a balloon too lol, the sunset colours are more of an inspiration from wild world and the galaxy/night sky is more of an inspiration from new horizons!

The colours are more accurate in the non-name tag pics but I prefer the composition!! However my hair frizz is also very obvious LOL

also every photo is completely unedited, which is why I also wanted to include these ones cause they contrast of the colours was making it difficult to capture all the detail whilst making the makeup look true to colour!

I wasn’t really planning on entering this contest, because I’m not really good at makeup and I can’t draw .
But....I started entering all the other contests, and then I figured....why not?

My look is inspired by my favorite sheep. Muffy! I like all things gothic, and there’s no villagers more gothic than her. I don’t know how to do makeup , but I tried. Extra headband added, because Muffy has one too. I settled for a simplistic look because I don’t really own too much makeup. I had to draw in my lipstick with an eyeliner since I don’t have black lipstick. It seems to be waterproof because it didn’t want to come off right after. Same eyeliner was used to make my eyelashes (which came out way too crooked...but if you squint a little and close one eye..... They still look crooked). Then I tried to incorporate Muffy’s green eyes. I added a little bit of green eye shadow (which you can barely see on the picture), and a lot of blush, and some powder to make me look whiter. Anyways, here’s my submission:

I decided to create a makeup look based on my very own namesake (not 'cuz I'm egotistical but because he's a very underappreciated character who I love very much)!! At first I didn't have any ideas beyond the dark eyeshadow and lipstick to mimic Cornimer's eyes and mouth, but then I remembered the essence of the character - acorns! So I added an acorn choker, earrings and a little hat. I was going to make the hair black to match the eyes and mouth, but I ultimately chose green to match Cornimer's body (plus I thought it fit the fall aesthetic well).

I chose Monique as my inspiration. Mainly cause she was my most recent campsite villager that moved in and I must say, I love her look! Bold red lipstick is a game changer! She is definitely well deserving of her snooty personality. Also a plus for resembling the late Marilyn Monroe! I’m so sorry if it looks so basic compared to everyone else’s! So many talented artist here!! Also a newb when it comes to painting on apps, so I had to go traditional. Hope it was okay I took the picture with my phone, my scanner is broken.

My makeup look was based off of Judy. She became my favorite since New Horizons because of her galaxy themed design and color combinations. Her color scheme basically includes all my favorite colors which is why I wanted to create a makeup inspired by her. The first thing I think of when i see her is sparkles due to her noticeably sparkly eyes, so I incorporated sparkly glitter everywhere.

This was fun!! ive never worked with face paint/art so I felt pretty lost on what good makeup artists might typically do so... I just had fun with it

My inspiration for this look is the Animal Crossing themed Nintendo Switch!! While I myself am not a makeup wear-er, I've always loved the look of split or 2 tone palettes for makeup and hair. Green and blue are my two favorite colors, and the announcement of the animal crossing themed switch was one of the most exciting things for me to happen around the release of the game.

The Switch's themed Dock was the inspiration for the neck of this look; the design on the back of the Switch was the inspiration for the bottom of the neck (on the water); and the NH themed Switch Case was the inspiration for the under-eyes makeup!

Here's my look based on the etheral Celeste! I loved being able to make constellations with her in previous games, and truly love hearing all her starry/astrological facts in New Horizons!
The pink streak in the hair is, of course, inspired by her iconic bow. She's got eyeshadow to match her hair, with the silver dots (I'd picture them to be those sticky jewels or glitter) to represent her little owl features, and I've always loved the stars and constellations, so I chose to include my two favourites- Aquarius and Cassiopeia on the lips! I used eyeshadow for the blush because I couldn't make it look realistic with the colouring pencils haha

This is my first time taking part in such an (art) event, I hope I'm doing everything right.

So here is my entry, my attempt of making a look based of Filbert, the lovely squirrel boy! I wasn't sure at first if I should hint the big nose of him or not, but decided at the end to do it, I had the feeling that something would be missing without it. The necklace is by the way a reference to the Tree sweater Filbert has. I'm overall happy with the result for the fact that I worked with a program that I used for the first time ever.

SO, this is my absolute FIRST dabble in any type of digital coloring/art, and I'm impressed with my first attempt at Krita . Also just super impressed with the talent of everyone on here.

This is after Tia, my favorite villager. I tried to follow the yellow and blue scheme. The headband is after Tia's teacup rim.

I was most excited for this event! I even ordered my headband for it!

My look was inspired by the Festivale Dancer Extraordinaire, Pavé! I had a couple villagers in mind for this event, but I really just love Pavé's bright and fun color scheme. While I went with some rainbow colors for my face to highlight the different feather colors of his character, I thought it would be fun to incorporate a peacock feather headband as well to tie it to being Pavé-inspired. Ironically, it also gave me some nostalgia to the colored feathers in the previous games

Fun fact: I had to pick up my husband and drive him to a tire shop right after taking this photo since he got a nail in his tire. I did not remove my makeup.
